Youth Flag Football
This flag football league is for children going into grades 1st-7th, and is open to all skill levels with an emphasis on improving skills in a safe, competitive, player-focused environment. The league is committed to providing a positive football experience in a safety-first program through USA Football’s “Heads Up” Football Program. All coaches will be trained in “Heads Up” Football procedures and will be required to complete a Coaching Certification through USA Football. The league will also have USA Football certified Player Safety Coaches that Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Sundays, are trained to ensure that “Heads Up” safety protocols are August 16-October 30 respected. Practices will begin in mid-August at Spring Rising 1st & 2nd Graders (5-9 yrs.) Creek Park, then all practices and games will move to Oak Rising 3rd & 4th Graders (8-11 yrs.) Hall Regional Park. The fee includes a jersey and shorts to Rising 5th, 6th & 7th Graders (10-13 yrs.) keep. Enrollment is by grade; please contact us if you have any questions, and visit our website for more details. Start Smart Football is a developmentally-appropriate introductory parent/guardianchild-based football program for children 4-6 years old. Pairs work together to develop individual skills. Start Smart Football prepares children and their parents for organized football without the threat of competition or the fear of injury. Age-appropriate equipment is used for teaching throwing, catching, kicking/punting, and running/agility. Each parent/child pair gets to keep the equipment that includes a football, kicking tee, flag belt, and participant manual.
