This spring, Color the Marsh is heading indoors for Reflections of the Marsh: A Community Art Show in the Donald Hamer Community Room at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center! We’re inviting local artists, photographers, crafters, and creatives of all ages to showcase nature-inspired artwork that supports Millbrook Marsh’s operations and programming. Submissions may include paintings, drawings, photography, fiber art, printmaking, mixed media, and self-standing sculptures. Celebrate the return of spring and share your creativity in this curated indoor exhibit open to the community. Whether it’s your first show or your hundredth, join us in highlighting the connection between nature, art, and community. Each Peep (laminated colorful paper bunnies shaped like marshmallow candy) will have a letter on it. Take a walk in the park, find all the Peeps, and unscramble the letters into a phrase. Email your solution to the puzzle to blee@crcog.net and correct answers will be entered into a drawing for a Peeps-themed prize pack.

Make your trip to Millbrook Marsh Nature Center memorable. Our Naturalists have countless stories and information to share about the plants, wildlife, insects, and history of the area. Walks can be tailored to your interests, themed, or observational. $48 per hour for up to 12 participants. Up to 4 groups at a time.

Swimming Lessons
Centre Region Parks and Recreation offers a variety of swimming lessons for all ages and skill levels, taught by experienced instructors Whether you ' re introducing your child to the water for the first time or looking to learn more advanced skills, we have a class to fit your needs.
Our lesson programs emphasize water safety, confidence, and skill development in a fun and supportive environment. Classes are held at the State College Area School District Natatorium, and instructor to student ratios are kept small to ensure quality instruction.

Designed for the child to develop a comfort level in the water as well as a readiness for learning how to swim. Children will receive an introduction to basic swimming and water safety skills.

Designed for children beginning swim lessons. At completion, children are able to submerge face, float and kick with support, demonstrate a combined stroke on front and on back, and demonstrate very basic water safety skills.

Prerequisite: Level 1 or equivalent. At completion, children are able to submerge and retrieve objects, glide and kick on front and back, bob 10 times, demonstrate three yards of front and back crawl, and demonstrate basic water safely skills
