Lexy, Rose, Millie, and all our care staff, this is for you.
There are few things more enjoyable than hearing firsthand that someone likes something you’re a part of. I hear it often. “You’re with Crossroads? I love Crossroads. The people there are so kind and caring.” I hear it at community events. I’ve been told by people at restaurants. I’m hearing it from people who know you and know how you treat them and their families.
These comments come spontaneously. They come voluntarily. They come because the people who live at Crossroads, and their families and friends who visit, have met you, our awesome and caring employees who make a difference in our resident’s lives every day.
So, thank you Shaleana. Thank you, Anna. Thank you, Carlos. Thank you, Jill, Brandy, Karen, Gerald, Ricardo, Angelina, Zane, Desiree, Jaylena, Ashley, and Josie. Thank you, Evonne, Sara, Amy, Brandy, Katrina, Mercedes, Trista and Jazlin.

Update from Maranatha
Wyoming or Bust
Most people from Colorado have probably heard of Gillette, Wyoming. This small town of 33,000 residents grew to 93,000 in early August to host the Believe the Promise International Camporee. Kids who are part of a scout group called Pathfinders came from all over the world to camp, learn, and worship together in this once-every-five-year event. Several Maranatha volunteers came ahead of time to help build out the massive stage structure and erect two large baptismal pools where hundreds of young people committed themselves to Christ every day. Maranatha Volunteers supports dozens of projects every year in the U.S. and Canada for people who want to help but stay on their home turf. A middle-aged woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital. While on the operating table, she had a near death experience.
Seeing God, she asked, “Is my time up?” God said, “No, you have another 43 years, 2 months, and 8 days to live.” Upon recovery, the woman decided to stay in the hospital and have a face lift, liposuction, and tummy tuck. Since she had so much more time to live, she figured she might as well look even nicer.
After her last operation, she was released from the hospital. While crossing the street on her way home, she was hit and killed by an ambulance. Arriving in front of God, she demanded, “I thought you said I had another 40 plus years? Why didn’t you pull me out of the path of the ambulance!?”
God replied, “My child, I am sorry, I didn’t even recognize you!”
