Spring reminds us that change is inevitable. While sometimes difficult and unwanted, Spring can be rejuvenating and inspiring. These next couple months revive our wonder about nature. The reawakening of plants, trees, and vegetation of all varieties. Our Courtyards are alive with new bounty and butterflies.
Crossroads at Lakewood is experiencing change this month. Cory Strauch, our Executive Director, is transferring his E.D. skills to Crossroads at Northglenn. Our Life Enrichment Director, Audrey Charness, moves into a new role for her as our Executive Director. She is excited for the opportunity to lead the facility. Audrey says her “passion has always been working with seniors, and bringing wellness to them through body, mind, and spirit practices. My vision for the facility is to create an environment where our residents and families consider it a safe and loving home.” Concurrently, Audrey will be assembling a care staff that is both nurturing and committed to our residents’ well-being.
“As I take on this role, the most important message is that my door is always open for discussion, and I pride myself on my responsiveness in getting back to families and staff.” Thank you, Audrey, and Cory, for your continuing and committed service to Crossroads.

Update from Maranatha
DOMINICAN
Since the beginning of 2023, Maranatha Volunteers International has already sent more than 900 volunteers to 20+ mission projects in the United States, Canada, Kenya, Peru, India and the Dominican Republic. The group pictured here is from Spencerville, Maryland. They helped build a church in the Dominican Republic. The name of the church is Pescadores de Hombres, which in English, means Fishers of Men, taken from the remark Jesus made to his followers regarding His mission for them. This tradition of “fishing for people,” to teach them the story of God’s love, enduring peace, and desire for humanity’s wholeness, is at the heart of Maranatha’s mission. Building people through the construction of churches, schools and wells. The same team that operates Maranatha, owns and operates Crossroads Senior Living. The ultimate goal for Crossroads’ residents, is a life surrounded by love, a life of peace, and a whole life lived well with a certain hope for the future.
