WORLD OF CRIMSON

A NOTE FROM CHERYL
It is with great excitement and pride that I introduce you to the first edition of World of Crimson Magazine - where creativity and innovation come to life! I invite you on this journey to explore the world and discover what a life well-lived means to you through an authentic, globally-inspired lens
Growing up in Paraguay, I have always gravitated towards, and been influenced by, Latin culture
The people in Latin countries, particularly Mexico, are so kind, genuine, and have a deep love for life To this day I feel incredibly moved by their simple and jovial culture
This year, my husband Louie FINALLY agreed to visiting Mexico! Our travels in February 2024 took us to us to Mexico City and San Miguel De Allende We loved it so much we are returning this summer, this time with our two girls; Gabi and Mia, and my parents I am honored to be able to take my parents back to a Latin country, similar to which I began my life
People often ask where I draw inspiration from Similarly to my team, my best ideas and inspiration come from experiences and memories that go beyond our walls of Crimson HQ
With that, I present to you the World of Crimson magazine
Salud!

EMBRACE THE VIBRANT SPIRIT OF MEXICO

At Crimson Design Group we believe that travel broadens our design horizons, and Mexico is a constant source of inspiration Our travels to Mexico remind us that great design isn't just about what we see, but truly living and experiencing the culture of others.
We might incorporate a traditional color palette inspired by textiles into a contemporary space, or utilize embroidery patterns into accessories, putting a fresh spin on classic Latin style Mexico’s vibrancy fuels our creativity

MEXICO

CITY

Mexico City-based Chef Oscar Vazquez is pushing the boundaries of Mexican cuisine and captivating palates around the world, including our own

While in Mexico City, Cheryl, Luis, and friends took a trip to Central de Abasto, one of the largest food markets in the world They spent the afternoon sorting through colorful, locally-grown produce, selecting high-quality meats, and learning how to shop like a local. Oscar was the expert and guided the group and instructed them on how to find the freshest, most quality ingredients available
The group then returned to their villa and prepared an incredible meal together using the ingredients from the market Everyone had an incredible time learning an authentic approach to making Mexican cuisine, including tamales (a first for most of the group!) with Oscar and his lovely wife Andreina
