St Teresa’s Feast Day

The whole school community came together in joy and gratitude to honour the Feast of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, a woman of profound faith, courage, and love whose ‘little way’ continues to inspire us all. As a school community, we reflected on her wisdom and compassion during a beautiful Mass, and then shared in celebration together with cake, marking the day with both reverence and joy.

This Week

Bible Reading

A reading from St Paul’s Letter to the Corinthians

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Reflection

This week we focus on two major celebrations. The Feast Day of St Teresa of Lisieux and being a pilgrim of hope. St Teresa teaches us that it is through our small acts of love that we can find the risen Christ. In an ever complex world of pressure and complexity this week we had a timely reminder that God is found in the simple things. We also took pupils on a Secondary Pilgrimage to Arundel. In this Year of Jubilee the Church invites us to travel closer to God and become and become pilgrims of Hope. Prayer Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your Kingdom May your grace transform us into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel Amen.

“May today there be peace within May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be ” St Teresa of Lisieux
