Summer Session

The 2024 Summer session allowed students to get ahead or stay on track for graduation.

CPGE led the marketing efforts through a campaign that showcased Cal Poly Pomona’s diverse student population while still including and implementing the beloved original Billy Bronco summer designs. Efforts for the marketing campaign included various marketing materials such as a billboard, banners, posters across campus, digital signage, Poly Post ads, and more. Additionally, CPGE hosted four informational events on campus in partnership with the Bronco Advising Center.

Student Testimonials

After obtaining her undergraduate degree at CPP, Angie Jarmin chose the Online Master of Science in Dietetics program to continue her studies. She particularly loves that the Online Master of Science in Dietetics program allows her to study at her own pace and works with her schedule. She currently works as a Clinical nutritionist at a hospital and is excited to utilize the knowledge and skills she’s gained from this program and put them into practice. Her goal is to have her own private practice as an RD one day.

When Brandon Rodriguez chose the Master of Science in Geology program at Cal Poly Pomona, he knew that he needed to be in the field and in classrooms to really absorb the new material. “CPP provided the opportunity while still being supportive of my work schedule,” he said, adding that nearly every course had a field component. “It meant getting to really see the material in nature instead of just in a textbook.” Rodriguez currently works at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as an Outreach and Professional Development Specialist for NASA Education. Upon graduating from the program, he plans to continue his role at NASA and Caltech where he is a chemist by trade and leads a small geochemistry project looking for chemical signatures of ancient asteroid impacts.

Jillian Panganiban graduated from the MS in Hospitality Management program in Spring 2024. While enrolled in the program, she concurrently served as a student assistant at CPGE. Knowing about the CPGE programs firsthand, she notes that she chose the MS in Hospitality Management program at CPP because of its accreditation and reputation as a top graduate program in the nation. When asked what she liked about the program she said that you not only learn from your professors, but also from your classmates. Now that she has graduated from the program, she will be working at the Marriott Vacation Club where she plans to do a manager-in-training program to further enhance her skills and continue to grow in the hospitality industry.

Anh Nguyen – MS in Business Analytics

Anh Nguyen will finish the MS in Business Analytics program this summer. Reflecting on her time in the program she says that what impressed her about the MSBA program at CPP were “The projects students were working on and the success stories I read about from former students on the MSBA’s website.” When asked what she liked about the program, she said that one cool thing about the program was getting to work with Meta in her second semester. Nguyen currently works as an Analytics Developer in a healthcare manufacturing company and notes that she hopes to strengthen the connection between her company and CPP to help MSBA students learn more about business and find good jobs.
