SUSTAINABILITY ADVISORY COUNCIL
Taking serious and bold action to mitigate climate change is an urgent business issue - failure to do so will hurt us all. Businesses must go beyond the bare minimum and take transformative action. We in County Kildare Chamber will play our part. Our aim is to support the SME community on our journey to educate businesses on how we can all make a difference.
County Kildare Chamber sits on the Chambers Ireland Sustainable Business Council. This Council meets four times a year, with representation from all industry sectors with Dublin, Cork and Kildare Chambers. The mission of the Council is to build awareness on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promote action in Chamber members around sustainable business practises and development. County Kildare Chamber is a member of the subgroup tasked with supporting the creation and establishment of local Chamber Sustainable Business Councils around the country. With this in mind, County Kildare Chamber will be establishing a Sustainability Council, tasked with advising and supporting the Chamber in delivering a suite of training and mentoring programmes that will enable our membership to make a difference on our journey to become carbon neutral.
POLICY ADVISORY COUNCIL
The Policy Advisory Council is composed of members interested in actively contributing to the success of our lobbying.
The Policy Advisory Council is represented by key members in each municipal district of County Kildare, and is chaired by Public Affairs Manager, Sinéad Ronan.
