SHOULD I SET A CLOSING DATE?
WHAT IS A CLOSING DATE?

A closing date is usually recommended when there are a number of interested parties intent on making an offer on a property. A date and time is chosen and each prospective buyer will be informed of this and asked to formally submit their strongest offer via their solicitor in advance of that time - you will usually find offers are made in the hours leading up to a closing date which will return the optimum price for the seller.
Closing dates are highly coveted and more often than not will see the property price pushed to its highest as buyers compete to offer their best price, or risk losing out altogether.
Your sales consultant will most likely encourage you to set a closing date if you receive multiple notes of interest, however each sale is different and we will always advise on a case-by-case basis.
