First impressions matter, and presenting a welcome exterior is the perfect place to start in the marketing of your home.

Spending some time ensuring your property looks good from the outside can make all the difference; think about your garden, is the grass clean cut? Are your outside lights working? Does the paint need freshened?

You never know when an interested buyer might drive-by, so try to make sure things are on point at all times. Take some time to make sure that any little issues in your house have been fixed, these small factors can make a big difference in a buyers decision making.

Most people will feel relaxed when they see a house is in good order, however on the flip side, cracked tiles or chipped paintwork could plant seeds of doubt.

Sometimes repairs can take a while to complete, so think about this early and action any changes you think could be beneficial. It goes without saying really, but we actively encourage you to make sure you take the time to thoroughly clean your home, and that includes inside your cupboards, remember buyers can be nosey!

Decluttering is also very important, whilst you may value certain knickknacks and family photos, you want buyers to be able to visualise themselves living in your property and giving them as clean a canvass to imagine putting their own stamp on things is a great start.
