Congratulations, September Above the Line winners!
District leaders recently announced the September 2023 Above the Line employees. Four honorees were surprised at their work locations with the announcement they had been selected. Do you know an employee who goes Above the Line? Nominate them! Melanie Arellano, Long Term Substitute, Miller High School Mrs. Arellano has served our Bucs as a long term sub for two years. She continuously works to make sure our Bucs get the best education possible. She is passionate about doing what is best for the students. Mrs. Arellano also requests to attend professional development to ensure she is working toward our campus’ vision and goals.

Diana Buentello, Paraprofessional, Garcia Elementary School Diana is always there for the students and helps ensure our campus is running smoothly. You can find her putting together emergency contact binders, helping with lunch duty, bulletin boards or making conversation with students. She continues to inspire us and we are lucky to have her at Garcia Elementary. As we all say, she is our favorite person on campus.
Jenifer Guerra, Principal, Tom Browne Middle School Ms. Guerra goes above and beyond in supporting her students, families and staff. She plans thoughtful staff appreciation events throughout the year, like handwritten notes and lunches. She cultivates student empowerment through initiatives like the Student Ambassador program. She sends the message that this school belongs to all of us, and we all play a part in making it great. Amy Martinez, Instructional Coach, Moore Elementary School Mrs. Martinez is a team player who advocates for all students on campus. She works with students and sets a good example of helping others and having good attendance. Mrs. Martinez ensures all teachers have what is needed to provide the best, adequate instruction. No teacher is without needed resources for a successful classroom, thanks to Mrs. Martinez’s diligence.
