Amelie Bishop
Hi, I’m Amelie and I have been surrounded by music my whole life. I attribute my musical passion to my parents, from a young age I was surrounded by a multitude of genres as well as guitars, singing and pianos. Their passion allowed me to explore my first instrument, violin, which I studied for over six years. Since then I have taught myself piano and guitar and discovered my passion of singing. The Music department has supported me throughtout my schooling and I truly feel at home in Atelier.
Paige Chamberlain
Hi, I’m Paige, and I’ve been singing nearly my entire life. I started lessons with Lisa Duffield at age 8 and was thrilled to begin. Music has since become a major part of my life, shaping my relationships, experiences, and skills. As an alto vocalist, I’ve learned that music is challenging and requires hard work. I love performing with the ensembles I’m part of and enjoy seeing my friends showcase their talents. I’m deeply grateful to the music department for the supportive community they’ve built, and I’m excited for new students to experience the same.
Charlotte Copping
Hi I’m Charlotte! I’ve sang since I could talk, I think that once I figured out how to I never stopped. I’ve been singing with Lisa for 5 years now and her enthusiasm and courage helped me find my voice. Mr Janus and Mr Ramirez filled me with so much optimism in music classes and no matter how much I struggled they remained calm and confident. Their passion for music was inspiring and they exuded love to our class. Mr. Janus once said “walk with kindness and lead with care” when we were leaving the classroom, and I think that’s exactly what he brought to music classes every day. My favourite memory was all of Year 11 Music classes, our class had so much fun! But also performing ‘Apples and Bananas’ to the primary schools this year on music camp.
Amy Hirschausen
Hi, I’m Amy, and music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been playing the flute for a decade and have had vocal lessons for five years. I would love to thank all my music teachers and tutors for their ongoing support, particularly Tegan Beck for her encouragement throughout my high school journey. Through my passion for music, I have been fortunate to develop life-long friendships, and I hope music remains a part of my life going forward. Music has taught me that something does not have to be perfect to be beautiful.
Luke Howis
I’ve been playing drums since Year 8 (2020), and recently picked up piano and bass, both self-taught, with help from my dad on bass and YouTube. Special thanks to Shane Cox, who has been with me through my drumming journey. Music has taught me creativity and provided a positive escape, far better than bingewatching Netflix. One of my favorite memories is jamming at music camp in Year 11, on that rickety old piano. My goal is to continue exploring gospel music by playing in church. Lastly, a big thank you to Mr. Ramirez for reigniting my passion for music and opening new pathways in my musical journey.
Jack Main
Hi, I’m Jack and I’ve been playing guitar, producing music and singing for 11 years now. I was very lucky to have Katya Winspear, Lisa Duffield, Craig James and Mr Janus as my music teachers throughout my schooling. Along with the support from my family, these teachers have pushed me to become the musician I am today. Music has allowed me to make the best of new opportunities and develop as a person, as well as inspiring me to pursue music as a career.
Nathan Johansen
Hi, I’m Nathan, I’ve primarily played piano for 10 years, but also dabbled in flute for a few years as well. Music has played an important role in my life from the start and has been a connecting bridge between my passions and interests. I’ve been extremely lucky to have some great teachers over my schooling who I will be ever grateful for. I’m extremely grateful for the amazing teachers I’ve had over the course of my schooling, offering support and have also introduced me to new areas in the music field which I may consider pursuing after school.
Wayne Musariri
Hi, I’m Wayne. I’ve played drums on and off, for 11 years, so music has been a major part of my life. Learning music has shaped my personality and deepened my appreciation for music theory. Since I was born in England and moved to Australia, my drumming has been shaped by many teachers. I would like to thank: Shane, Don, and Blake Hammat. One of my favourite memories is challenging Mr. Janus and the class on the key of D# major. I’m excited to continue my journey as an artist and music producer.

Akeyla Prusa
Hi, I’m Akeyla, and I have been playing piano since I was little, and picked up guitar and ukulele growing up, which helped me learn how to accompany myself while singing. Music has taught me a lot of life skills, and is a big part of my personality, influencing strong connections I’ve made in the past, and hope to make in the future. Growing up in a musical family, meant random jam sessions at night and performing/busking with my two older brothers. I have been fortunate to have great musical teachers, that have spread their passion and musical knowledge, creating ideas and possibilities that I may carry out in the future.
Isabel Willet
Hi, I’m Isabel and I’ve been playing the bass guitar and singing for the past 4 years and have been a musician for the last 5, so music has been a big part of my life and education at Cornerstone. Music has taught and developed my creative skills, confidence and has given me lasting connections with my peers. I want to thank my past and present music teachers as they have contributed, encouraged and inspired me, making me the musician I am today. For the future I hope that music is still a part of my life and to potentially pursue music teaching.
Brooke Strachan
My name is Brooke, and I’ve been a passionate musician for ten years, specialising in singing for the past three. Music has been a creative outlet for me, allowing me the opportunity to express myself and make lasting connections with my peers and educators. I thank my sister Lauren, who inspired me to follow in her footsteps in becoming a singer, Lisa Duffield, who has taught me so much, bringing out the best in my voice, and my music teachers Mr Janus and Mr Ramirez who have always supported my music goals, encouraging me to pursue music teaching in my future.
