SUMMER SIP

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

I hope you’ve all been enjoying a wonderful summer! We kicked off the season with our annual Awards of Excellence on May 14, 2025 at the New England Aquarium, where we celebrated the incredible talent and achievements across our industry. None of this would have been possible without our dedicated Committee Volunteers, whose hard work and creativity made for such a memorable evening.

Although summer is often a quieter season for the Chapter, our community has remained active. In this newsletter, you’ll find highlights from recent activities along with a look at the exciting programs ahead this fall. I encourage you to get involved, whether by joining a committee, registering for the upcoming New & Renewed Member Coffee Chat on October 7, 2025 to connect with fellow members and learn about your membership benefits, or attending the Programs Committee event, “Invested in Change Management,” on September 3, 2025 to explore a change management case study and expand your professional network.

As we look to the fall, we’ll also take time to celebrate the generous support of our Chapter Sponsors, whose partnership makes these opportunities possible. I’m especially looking forward to recognizing them at this year’s Sponsor Appreciation Event on September 11 at InterSystems’ office at One Congress. A special thank you to Kathryn Hester and the InterSystems team for once again welcoming us into their space.

And of course, the season wouldn’t be complete without our 24th Annual Golf Tournament on October 9, 2025 at Pinehills Golf Club.

Not only is this one of our most anticipated events of the year, but it also gives back, as a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. Sponsorship opportunities and foursomes are still available, and for those looking to sharpen their swing, limited spots remain in the Golf Clinic.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer, and I look forward to connecting with you at our upcoming events this fall.

CAREER STRATEGIES + DEVELOPMENT

The Career Strategies + Development committee hosted their annual Summer Soiree on August 13, 2025. A chapter favorite, the event was sold out and offered chapter members and "membersto-be" a fun night of networking and mingling while enjoying wonderful city views from Margulies Perruzzi's popular roof deck. Attendees were asked to share a fun fact, both professional and personal, to ensure active engagement for all.

The Membership Committee held an meet and greet just prior to the event to welcome new members to the chapter.

Special thanks to CS+D committee member Janet Morra and Margulies Perruzzi for sponsoring this popular event.

DEI COMMITTEE

Thank You to Our 2025 CREST Mentors

A big thank-you to this year’s chapter mentors for another successful year of the CREST Mentorship Program! The DEI Committee kicked things off with a summer mixer to welcome mentors and mentees, and the internships wrapped up on August 8, 2025. We’re grateful for the time, guidance, and expertise our mentors shared in helping shape the next generation of corporate real estate professionals.

REAL ADVANTAGE

Real Advantage Committee Delivers High-Impact Programming in 2025

The Real Advantage committee has already made a strong impact this year, hosting four dynamic workshops that tackled some of the most pressing topics in corporate real estate—from sustainability and public transportation to the evolving landscape of space metrics. These invitation-only gatherings, exclusive to Corporate Partners and Founders Circle Sponsors, offer more than just insights—they create rare opportunities for high-level networking, strategic knowledge exchange, and industry-shaping dialogue.

This summer, the committee welcomed over 45 engaged professionals to a standout session on Measuring Space Metrics, where the pulse of the modern office was front and center. The workshop was expertly facilitated by Melanie Maggiore of Fidelity and Julie Whelan of CBRE, who led a thought-provoking discussion on how space utilization is being redefined in today’s workplace.
