WINTER WARMER
MARCH 2025

MARCH 2025
As we settle into the new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the successes of FY24-25 and look ahead to another exciting year of collaboration, connections, and innovation in the corporate real estate industry.
I hope to see many of you at the Annual Meeting of the Membership on Tuesday, March 25 from 6pm-8pm at 100 Federal Street in Boston. We will recognize the accomplishments of our Chapter, express our gratitude to our dedicated volunteers and Board of Directors, celebrate the graduates of our Leadership 2.0 program, welcome new Board of Directors, and network with fellow chapter members. This gathering is an opportunity to reflect on all we’ve achieved together and to set our sights on the opportunities ahead. Thank you to Frankin Templeton and BXP for providing the space for us. It is free for Chapter Members to attend and you can find the registration link in the Upcoming Events section in this newsletter.
Looking ahead, we are thrilled to invite you to this year’s Awards of Excellence, which will be held on Wednesday, May 14 from 6pm9pm at the New England Aquarium—an exciting new venue for our Chapter! This signature event honors outstanding individuals and projects that have made a lasting impact on the corporate real estate industry. Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit nominations and to this year’s judges, whom are currently in the process of carefully reviewing all submissions.
While we can’t avoid the cold weather and short days here in New England, we can count on Girl Scout cookies to sweeten up our days this time of the year! So we recently took to social media to ask the CoreNet Community: What's your favorite Girl Scout cookie? The votes are in, and the results are as delicious as we hoped!
We look forward to sharing the winners in the coming weeks and celebrating their achievements at this special event. Sponsorship opportunities and table sales are now available – see the Awards of Excellence update in the newsletter. I hope to see you all there!
And if you’re looking for a chance to connect with peers and dive into some incredible industry insights, don’t miss the 2025 Eastern Regional Symposium (ERS), on June 2-3 at Convene Brookfield Place in New York City. This members-only event brings together 500 corporate real estate professionals—an even mix of End Users and Service Providers—for two days of learning, networking, and idea-sharing. With an outstanding lineup of industry leaders, thought-provoking discussions, behind-the-scenes project tours, and plenty of opportunities to catch up with colleagues, ERS is always a must-attend for CRE professionals. End User registration is now open, and Service Provider registration will open in April! See the ERS section of this newsletter to learn more and register. I look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events and continuing to build on the energy and engagement within our Chapter!

The Career Strategies + Development Committee is all about fostering connections, and at their Summer Soirée this past July, one introduction made a lasting impact. Mackenzie “Mack” Blalock, a former CREST intern, met Nathan Turner, President of Margulies Perruzzi, at the event—a meeting that ultimately led to a full-time position at the firm. Mack’s journey is a testament to the power of networking and the opportunities CoreNet provides for emerging talent.
The New England Chapter of CoreNet Global is now offering members who are between jobs and looking for a new opportunity (aka "in transition") a complementary service to help you in your job search!

This list will not be published on the Chapter Website or in newsletters, we would simply provide the list to anyone inquiring.
There is also an opportunity to be featured as a 'Member in Transition' in an upcoming bi-weekly newsletter to Membership with your headshot and brief bio. Please inform us if you are interested in that opportunity (it is not mandatory). There’s also an opportunity to discuss privately and not be included on the shared list, see details below!

The 2025 Cohort of the George M. Conti Young Leaders Professional Development Program kicked off on January 14 with 11 energized and enthusiastic cohort members. The session provided an opportunity for Chair Chris Petryshin and Co-Chairs Brynn Woessner and Sarah Abrams to discuss the expectations for the year and to provide the cohort a chance to introduce themselves to one another through an All About Me slide presentation. Attending also was Joe Bachman of Blue Ox Enterprises, who will be providing individual coaching to each member.
Later in the month, the team gathered for a group exercise with Joe that drew on self assessments they completed and focused on the different working styles they each possess. Coming up in March and April will be the very popular Leasing Ins and Outs course as well as Lunch and Learns with Chris Horblit and Gabrielle Harvey.
