WHY?
Our aim is to have an U13, U14 and U15 Regional and County squads by the 2025-26 season. So the coaches are going to put in the hard work through the 2024-25 season in order to achieve this goal.
About Our Programme
WHAT DOES THIS PROGRAMME INVOLVE?
EVERY PLAYER WLL BE GIVEN THEIR OWN PERSONALISED LEVEL PROGRAMMME FROM 110. THEY WILL BE GIVEN A BREAKDOWN OF THE AREAS THEY NEED TO WORK ON TO BECOME THE BEST NETBALL THEY CAN BE.
WHAT DOES EACH PROGRAMME CONSIST OF?
EVERY PROGRAMME WILL COVER: BALL SKILLS -LEARNING A VARIETY OF PASSING AND CATCHING WITH 1 OR 2 HANDS MOVEMENT & FOOTWORK - LEARNING CORRECT LANDING AND FOOTWORK TECHNIQUES AND A VARIETY OF WAYS TO GET FREE SHOOTING -LEARNING A SUCCESSFUL TECHNIQUE FOR THE INDIVIDUAL AND DIFFERENT WAYS TO HOLD OR MOVE FOR THE PASS DEFENCE - LEARNING ABOUT TRACKING A PLAYER AND BALL AND DIFFERENT WAYS TO INTERCEPT
Why the “How, when, where” programme ?
In every skill we teach the players we are going to emphasise “how, when, where’ for example: How to pass!, When to pass!, Where to pass! This will result in the player learning a technique in the correct way but also how to use it within the game. We want every player to look at the long term benefits of learning new skills to improve their game.
