Complete Connect is a dynamic and engaging programme designed for secondary schools across the UK, supporting students from Year 7 to Year 11 in exploring their career pathways within sport. Whether they aspire to be professional athletes, coaches, sports scientists, physiotherapists, or work in media, business, or event management, Complete Connect provides the knowledge and experiences needed to inspire their journey. .

INTRODUCING OURPROGRAMMES

We will visit your school and speak to students from all year groups in the form of assemblies, small group discussions or class discussions - whatever works best for you! We are flexible and understand that each school works differently.

Our Aim is to provide more detailed insight into the opportunities that we specifically can provide for them when they leave school and more information on how to get started on those pathways.

YOUNGLEADERS FIELDTRIPS GUESTSPEAKERS

Through real-life experiences and valuable insights, they will encourage students to set goals, stay motivated, and make the most of their opportunities.

Students will take on the role of coaches, delivering sessions to their peers as part of our Young Leader program. This hands-on experience helps develop leadership, communication, and coaching skills, building confidence and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment.

Students will visit us for an interactive coaching session led by our team, giving them a firsthand look at the role of a coach. This experience builds leadership, communication, and coaching skills while providing valuable insight into sports coaching.

This dynamic presentation empowers Year 7 students to explore their strengths, set goals, and build the confidence to achieve success.

Year 9 - “Options and Opportunities”

From subject selections to career pathways, they will gain insight into the opportunities around them and how their decisions today can impact their journey ahead.

YOURCHANCE TOCOACH

YOUNG LEADERS

Our Young Leaders program gives students the chance to step into the role of a coach, developing key leadership, communication, and teamwork skills through hands-on experience. Delivered during PE lessons, this interactive session challenges students with real-world coaching scenarios, encouraging them to think creatively and adapt. By planning and leading their own activities using limited equipment, they build confidence, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of what it takes to be a coach.

SCENARIO1:THEEQUIPMENTCHALLENGE

You have 6 players 1 ball, 3 bibs, and 10 cones. Your task is to design a fun and engaging game that keeps everyone involved. Think about how you can use the equipment effectively, create clear rules and ensure all players have a role. You have 5 minutes to plan and then lead your game!”

“You are coaching a group of 8 younger students who have never played football before You only have 1 goal, 4 cones and 2 footballs Design a simple warm-up activity and a small-sided game that helps them develop a key skill (e.g. passing, dribbling, or teamwork) Make sure your instructions are clear and everyone stays engaged!”

Students will take part in an interactive coaching session led by our experienced team, giving them a firsthand look at what it takes to be a coach. Through practical activities and challenges, they will develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while gaining valuable insight into the world of sports coaching. This hands-on experience encourages teamwork, confidence, and creativity in a fun and supportive environment.

• 09:45 - 10:30 – Practical Coaching Session Led by Our Coaches

• 10:30 - 10:45 – Break

• 10:45 - 11:30 – Students Plan & Deliver Their Own Coaching Session

• 11:30 - 12:00 – Reflection, Feedback & Next Steps Discussion

• 12:00 – Departure

This structured session gives students a hands-on experience of sports coaching, building leadership, communication, and problemsolving skills in a fun and engaging way.

We can arrange half day or full day visits with a classroom and practical session. We can also link to your school as a work experience provider.

Our College Experience day gives Year 10 and 11 students a firsthand look at life in our Complete Academy program. Students will take part in academic lessons, experience high-quality training sessions, and gain insight into the pathways available in sport.

Aimed at those with a passion for sport, these regular sessions provide a supportive environment where students can engage with our tutors and coaches, developing key skills both on and off the pitch. Through a mix of practical coaching and tailored mentoring, we help students rebuild confidence, stay motivated, and find a positive pathway forward.

This insightful presentation introduces Year 10 students to the wide range of career opportunities available in the world of sport. From coaching and sports science to media, business, and performance analysis, students will explore different pathways and the skills needed to succeed. “Career in Sport” aims to inspire students by highlighting real-world opportunities, industry insights, and the steps they can take to turn their passion for sport into a future career.

Year 11 - “Transitions and Change”

This engaging presentation helps Year 11 students prepare for life after school, whether moving into college, apprenticeships, or the workplace. “Transitions and Change” explores the challenges and opportunities that come with this next step, offering practical advice on adapting to new environments, building resilience, and embracing change with confidence. Students will gain insights into how to stay motivated, set goals, and make the most of the journey ahead.

Our College Experience day offers Year 10 and 11 students a unique opportunity to step into life at Complete Academy. They will take part in academic lessons with our expert tutors, experience high-quality training sessions with our coaches, and gain valuable insight into the balance between education and sport. This immersive day is designed to help students understand the expectations of a college environment while showcasing the exciting pathways available within sport.
