Here are 5 benefits on why you should consider vehicle signage for your commercial vehicle.

5 Ways Vehicle Signage benefits Your Business

Being at the helm of a small to medium business requires a constant awareness of your performance. After all, you’re the captain of this ship. Your business performance depends on the time and effort that you put into developing your ideas.

Practically anyone with business experience will tell you, though, that some areas are critical.

Efforts in these activities have a significant impact on how your company performs and grows.

YOUR CAR, A MOBILE ADVERTISING TOOL

You may already know that there are many ways to promote a company brand. What about some specific strategies for getting eyes on your logo and contact info?

Consider the value of turning to one of the simplest and most efficient forms of advertising: using your car as a mobile advertising tool. With tools such as vehicle advertising, your business visibility is increased.

1. EVERYONE IN TRAFFIC YOU PASS GETS TO SEE YOUR BRAND

With a professional looking car-wrap, heads will turn in traffic to get a glimpse of your car. Individuals at stoplights behind you will see the wrap too. Even pedestrians walking along the road will notice as you pass by them. When you want to gain a whole lot of exposure in a short period, this is one of the best and most economical ways to do it for your business. Use your vehicle to conduct all company business. The more time you spend on the road, the more work your wrap is effectively doing.

2. EVEN WHEN YOUR CAR IS PARKED, YOU’RE GAINING EXPOSURE

You don’t even need to be driving around to get eyes on your brand. In fact, part of the benefit of using a wrap is passive advertising. Remember, even as you run errands, the car is exposing information about your company to others. It’s practically free advertising at that point. Clever parking, like parking close to buildings, can ensure your brand is visible to people both entering and leaving.

3. TURN YOUR VEHICLE INTO A MOBILE BILLBOARD WITH HIGHWAY DRIVING

For a quick and easy way to broaden your exposure across a bigger geographical area, hop on the highway. A few gallons of gasoline are a lot cheaper than radio air time or a roadside advertisement. It might seem silly at first, but think about it— what easier way to spread the word? You could wind up with some inquisitive phone calls from potential customers after taking such a drive.

4. PEOPLE WHO SEE YOUR VEHICLE WILL NOTICE ITS PROFESSIONAL FINISH

A vehicle wrap makes any car look like a fleet vehicle. An excellent wrap doesn’t just make your company look modern. It can also make it seem larger than life, which in turn can foster a feeling of trustworthiness. People will tend to think that a company making the effort to wrap a vehicle is already well-established and doing good business.

5. IT’S A PERMANENT AND VERY COST-EFFECTIVE FORM OF LONG-TERM ADVERTISING

There’s no doubt about the excellent ROI vehicle wraps yield to their owners. Not only that, but there’s no need to renew contracts or pay more money. Once you have applied the wrap to your car, it’s there until you choose to remove it or change the design. You don’t even need to overhaul your whole car. You can even opt for just a partial vehicle wrap by Lucent Wraps. A partial wrap can accomplish the same job. It all depends on your brand’s needs.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Obviously, a wrap can do a lot to benefit your brand and broaden its exposure. From its performance in traffic to its value over time, your company can experience real positive benefits. In addition to lending your business an established feeling, your wrap even helps to grow your business. The more people see your info; the more likely they are to contact you in need of your services. Never underestimate the power of basic static advertising tools such as these.

We are pleased to announce that the City of Canterbury Bankstown and the Canterbury Bankstown Chamber of Commerce have partnered with The Multicultural Network on their Zero Barriers project. This free project aims to support and encourage businesses and services to be disability accessible and inclusive. The aim is to reduce barriers for people with disability when accessing their local business community and to ensure that we create a friendly and welcoming environment for all.

Businesses and services across our LGA can now join Zero Barriers by registering on the Zero Barriers website at www.zerobarriers.net.au. By completing a simple self-assessment form to identify their accessibility score, they can begin their journey to reduce barriers for people with disability and those in need of assistance. Once they can show that they have taken steps to improve access, a Zero Barriers Officer gets in touch to award them their Zero Barriers logo sticker and they will be included in the Directory of disability-friendly businesses. It's that easy.

There are many great reasons why businesses should join Zero Barriers: It's good for business, allowing you access to overlooked consumers, it shows you care, and it improves your business reputation. Almost 1 in 5 Australians have some kind of disability. Customers with disability have spending power, and they are vocal about the type of service they receive. Meeting the needs of customers with disability means more business and increased profitability. It shows that your business cares about the whole community and that you are respectful of all people, irrespective of their ability.

By joining Zero Barriers, you also become eligible to win a Zero Barriers Business Excellence Award. These awards recognise and reward businesses who are making an effort to be disability friendly. Previous winners include Rashay’s Punchbowl and C&M Aquatics.

BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT KEY TO BCCT’S FUTURE

Bankstown Canterbury Community Transport (BCCT) has released its 2021–2024 Strategic Plan detailing key insights, priorities, objectives and actions that will guide the future of our trusted community organisation.

BCCT has provided transport services to vulnerable members of the local community since 1984. Our new strategic plan will ensure the organisation continues to grow and evolve as the need for its services increases due to the ageing population in the Canterbury Bankstown local government area.

While the Covid-19 pandemic has recently impacted services, BCCT traditionally operates six days per week, transporting 2000 regular clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, social outings and more The organisation, supported by a dedicated team and volunteers, carries out more than 60,000 trips per year.

A key plank of the BCCT’s Strategic Plan is its focus on collaboration. As an identified priority, collaboration is key to futureproofing and empowering the organisation to achieve its goals, growth rates and success

Collaborations can work to support community members in new and diverse ways. For example, BCCT collaborated with Canterbury Bankstown libraries on a ‘reverse library’ program during the recent pandemic. Instead of transporting people to the libraries, we worked with librarians and delivered books to their homes The Bankstown Torch wrote an article about this successful program.

Future collaborative relationships will involve BCCT working with community groups, businesses and government to undertake programs and actions that boost the organisation’s ability to fulfil its mission Our mission is to “provide reliable and affordable community and social support services for aged and disadvantaged residents, breaking down barriers to health and independence by enabling an active and connected community”.

There has never been a more critical time for our community to work together to support those who are vulnerable and isolated.

If you are a business, community group or volunteer, we are very interested in working with you to develop a partnership that empowers others through our success.

We invite you to learn more about BCCT by reading our 2021–2024 Strategic Plan. A copy of the plan can be obtained by contacting the office via info@bcct.org.au.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Being disability inclusive doesn’t have to involve huge changes or major renovations. In many cases, small layout changes, minor inclusions, and an understanding of how to better communicate with customers with disability is all that is required. It doesn’t just mean you are improving access for people with a disability, but you will improve accessibility to the whole community- the Elderly, families with young children, and people with temporary mobility concerns.

This year, Social Inclusion Week Australia runs from Saturday 20- Sunday 28 November 2021. The theme is Connect, Collaborate and Celebrate. In recognition of social inclusion week, Zero Barriers invites you to nominate a business or service that believes in social inclusion. If you know or use a business that welcomes and facilitates access to people with disability, you can let us know by nominating them HERE.

Let us celebrate those who are doing their part to connect all members of the community by recognising them through Zero Barriers.

Unity Bank, your SMERLS provider in Bankstown.

Dear Wally,

I write to thank you, the team around you and the CB Chamber of Commerce, for the terrific service and support you have provided Bankstown Community College in recent times. From providing advice on business matters, connections to local businesses (which we use from time to time) and organising live Zoom sessions with senior people in government –Tudehope, Dominello, Berejiklian, Frydenberg – to name a few. Your access to senior government ministers at state and federal levels, is a testament to your effectiveness as a leader in the Canterbury Bankstown business community.

In particular I would like to spotlight the CB Chamber Newsletter (July edition) which included information about the NSW Community and Small Business CCTV Fund to assist local business to install CCTV cameras. I was not aware of this grant until your Newsletter included the information. As we have been unable to afford the installation of CCTV cameras to date, I immediately applied for the grant and recently gained approval. The installation now makes a practical and meaningful difference to the wellbeing of the College and helps us provide a safer space for our staff and students as life returns to normal.

The grant for the CCTV cameras was very helpful, but it would not have happened for us without your advice and support. Keep up the effor

Hello,

The reopening of NSW continues and from today international arrivals will be welcomed back to NSW.

For industry and businesses this will mean increased foot traffic in venues and premises, particularly in retail, personal services, and hospitality. Under the current Public Health Order, all returning residents and visitors to NSW will need to show proof that they are fully vaccinated to enter most premises.

To support your reopening efforts, we are providing you:

Information and advice on proof of vaccination requirements for international arrivals. Links to new proof of vaccination posters that include the Australia Travel Declaration which can be used by international arrivals to confirm their vaccination status

Information on eased travel restrictions between regional NSW and Greater Sydney which have come into effect today, Monday 1 November.

Advice on COVID-19 booster vaccinations, including frequently asked questions and details on how and when people can book their appointment.

COVID-19 vaccinations and international arrivals - what you need to know

We have guidance to address specific questions businesses might have on vaccination and checkin requirements for international arrivals.

Will international arrivals need to comply with NSW Public Health Orders?

Yes. All international arrivals will need to follow the rules in place under the current reopening roadmap.

Will international arrivals need to show proof of vaccination to enter a business premises?

International arrivals will need to follow the same vaccination requirements as NSW residents. Most premises require people to be fully vaccinated or show a valid exemption to enter.

If a staff member believes that a person is not fully vaccinated, or does not have a valid exemption, the staff member can ask the person to leave the premises.

What proof of vaccination can businesses accept from international arrivals?

A copy of the person's Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register, or another acceptable form of proof of vaccination

Australia Travel Declaration: international arrivals need to carry a copy of their Australia Travel Declaration at all times. This declaration can be used to confirm a customer's vaccination status. It can be shown as a:

digital copy: from the Australia Travel Declaration website or app on a smart phone, or a confirmation email or receipt from the Department of Home Affairs. printed copy: of a confirmation email or receipt from the Department of Home Affairs.

Both printed and digital versions of approved vaccination proof should be accepted by businesses.

Do international arrivals need to check-in?

Yes. Businesses will still need to ensure international arrivals check in using the Service NSW app, a COVID-19 check-in card or manually.

For more information and advice on vaccination compliance for businesses, visit nsw.gov.au.

Thank you for your continuing support in helping to keep NSW open for business and COVID safe.
