CEO MESSAGE
UNLEASHING BUSINESS GROWTH IN NSW: IT’S TIME TO CUT THE DEAD WEIGHT
New South Wales has no shortage of ambition, innovation, or hardworking business owners. But the system meant to support them is holding them back.
From outdated payroll taxes that penalise job creation to a corporate tax structure that stifles reinvestment, and insurance premiums that are spiralling out of reach NSW businesses are doing it tough. Especially our small and medium enterprises, which form the backbone of our local economy.
It’s time for real reform!
Payroll tax must go. It’s a tax on jobs—plain and simple. We need a clear path to abolish it and support growth, not punish it.
Corporate tax burdens must be eased. Let’s reward innovation, not hinder it.
Insurance costs must be reined in. Businesses shouldn’t have to choose between risk and survival.
These changes aren’t radical they’re necessary. Every extra dollar lost to inefficiency is a dollar that could have gone to employing someone, upskilling a team, or expanding operations.
NSW has the potential to be the most probusiness state in the country. Hence we need bold direction, smarter policy, and a commitment to cutting the dead weight that’s holding us back.
Let’s get behind the businesses that drive our economy and give them the freedom to grow.
The time for change is now.
