BILLY BURKE
is thrilled to return to the Clear Space stage. His past performances include Victor Victoria, Little Shop of Horrors, Grease, Damn Yankees, A Raisin in the Sun, and The Body Guard. Billy retired from Baltimore County Public Schools after 30 years in education and now lives in Rehoboth. He is grateful to be playing the principal in The Prom because true theatre magic happens when life and art collide.
is a Rising Junior getting his BFA at Rider University. He is so excited to be making his professional theater debut here at Clear Space Theater Company. For fun, Will writes songs and has two albums currently out with his band The People’s Poets He would like to thank his friends, family, and the whole team here at Clear Space Theater Company.
is an NYC-based graduate of Rowan University. At Rowan, she received a double major B.A. degree in Dance and Theatre with concentrations in Musical Theatre and Honors. Previous credits include Know-It-All and Dancing Chef/Elf in Warner Bros. Polar Express Train Ride, Featured Dancer in Hayden J. Frederick’s online piece Lay Your Head Down, and Ivubala in In America; That Is To Say Nowhere at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. She appeared earlier this season at Clear Space in The Bodyguard. Liz would like to thank her friends for being ridiculously supportive, her family for their encouragement, and her parents especially for making this possible.

ALEX DEEMEDIO
is a junior and is so excited to be a part of this show! Most recently with Clear Space Theatre, Alex was in The Spongebob Musical, Matilda and The Little Mermaid (Scuttle), but has been performing with Clear Space for eleven years. She also is active in her school’s drama program, with some of her favorite productions being Carrie (Sue Snell), Mamma Mia! (Sophie Sheridan), and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Olive Ostrovsky). She has also worked with Possum Point Players and Milton Theater. She has loved working with such a fun cast and hopes you enjoy the show!
JULIA DISABATINO
is a 9th grader at Cape Henlopen High School and is thrilled to be part of this production. Her recent credits include Honk!, Elf, Seussical, Frozen, Scrooge, Emma!, and The Little Mermaid ((Flotsam). In her free time, Julia takes part in her school’s soccer and basketball team and plans to purse her love for sports/drama through high school. credits her first musical theater performance as a Pittsburgh production of Les Miserables at age 7. Since moving to Lewes, she has participated in many Clear Space Theater summer camp productions and Spotlights on Young Performers, as well as mainstage productions of Scrooge and Joseph……. Dreamcoat. Other favorite roles include Beacon’s Bugsy Malone, Jr. and Milton Theater’s The Little Mermaid (Sebastian).
EVA GARY
is thrilled to return to Clear Space for her second summer after performing in the 2023 season’s productions of Kinky Boots (Lauren), Jesus Christ Superstar, and SpongeBob: The Musical. She is currently perusing her BFA in Musical Theatre at Shenandoah Conservatory. Shenandoah credits include Into The Woods, The Apple Tree, and Hair. ERIK HOUCK
is super excited to be in this summer season at clearspace. He is a rising senior at Elon University studying musical theater and music production. Notable roles Erik has played include Roger in Rent, Burger in Hair, as well as Tom of Warwick in the 2015 Broadway Tour of Camelot. Erik is also a songwriter and music producer releasing music under his artist name ERE on all streaming plat forms. CARISSA MEIKLEJOHN
is an English teacher and Instructional Coach at Milford High School who has directed their Drama Club for 20 years. She’s earned an English Education degree from Pitt, a certificate in Wildlife and Forestry Conservation from Penn Foster College, a Masters in Counseling from Wilmington University, and a Masters in Public History from SNHU. Favorite roles include Adult Alison in Fun Home, Matron Mamma Morton in Chicago, Rosie in Mamma Mia, and Roz in 9 to 5 She’s enjoyed working with Clear Space since the summer of 2011. She resides in Milton, DE with her wife and dog.

recently completed her fourth Summer Rep at Clear Space Theater! Some of her favorite past shows include The Mousetrap (Molly, 2024), Young Frankenstein (Inga), Our Town (Emily), Steel Magnolias (Shelby), and Little Shop Of Horrors (Audrey). She has recently made Lewes, Delaware her home with her fiancé, and is finishing up her Bachelor’s Degree in English at Arizona State University! CHASE REYNOLDS
has been in his school’s productions of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Leaf Coneybear) and Carrie (George). Chase has been in several productions at Clear Space, including James And The Giant Peach, Honk!, Elf (Michael) , Seussical, Sound Of Music (Kurt VonTrapp), Frozen Jr, Emma, Scrooge!, and The Little Mermaid (Grimsby), Godspell (Nick/George), and Estella Scrooge (Young Pip). Chase is very excited because able to be a part of Descendants this spring. Chase loves to play guitar/ukulele, singing, and reading and would also like to thank his family, friends, and vocal coach for all of their support and help along the way.
BROOKE RHUE
has been with Clear Space for over 4 years now and has loved every second of it. She has always had a passion for theatre. She has been involved in shows such as Suessical, Honk, Frozen, Emma, Sleepy Head, The Little Mermaid (Sebastian), Matilda, Spongebobob, Young Frankenstein, Estella Scrooge, all with Clear Space. Brooke has also performed in Marry Poppins, Shrek Jr, Puffs, Grease, Stroke STATIC (Ruth), Radium Girls, Matilda, The First Fall (Zoe) and Pride and Prejudice at her school. Brooke has been involved in Dance with Sussex Dance Academy and Tada Dance Academy. Brooke has loved performing at Clear Space and hopes to continue her path of theatre through college.
ERNIE RITCHEY
has collected many experiences as both a performer and choreographer in the past decades of working in live theater. A few of those memories include George M (George/Jerry), Damn Yankees (Joe), Dames At Sea (Lucky), 42nd Street (Andy), Something’s Afoot (Flint), The Drowsey Chaperone (Underling), his years with the DC Cowboys, and recently Hello Dolly (Rudy) at Clear Space. Other great experiences here include Victor/Victoria, Sylvia, Scrooge!, Our Town, Hello Dolly!, La Cage Aux Follies, Kiss Me Kate, The Music Man, A Christmas Carol, Victor/Victoria, And Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Ernie is very happy to have found a place at Clear Space!
is thrilled to be making her Clear Space Theatre Company debut! Recent regional credits include Jesus Christ Superstar (Mary Magdalene), Grease (Rizzo/ Dance Captain), and The Little Mermaid (Arista/U/S Flotsam). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Dance/Arts Administration from Butler University, and has trained and performed internationally under the Bolshoi Ballet and American Music Abroad. began her professional career at the Mill Mountain Theatre in Virginia and continued in regional theatres throughout the states, on board cruise lines, and in Europe where she toured with Wolfgang Bocksch Concerts’ 42nd Street. Favorite roles include Val/A Chorus Line, Audrey/Little Shop of Horrors, Patsy/ Crazy for You and Donna/Mamma Mia. Choreography credits include 42 nd Street, BIG the Musical, Grease, Cabaret, Guys & Dolls, and Jersey Boys. Sunday nights she can be found down the street at the Blue Moon in her cabaret, Act 3. Performances are dedicated to her nephew, Joel, who shares the same love and excitement for musical theatre.
HARRY SPERDUTO
is ecstatic to be making his debut at Clear Space Theatre Company this summer. Harry is born and raised in New Jersey and is a rising senior at SUNY Cortland working towards his B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. Some of Harry’s recent credits include Vittorio Vidal: Sweet Charity, Cliff Bradshaw: Cabaret, and Heathcliff: In Emily’s Words. Harry would like to thank his parents for their endless love and support as well as his grandpa Nick for sparking his love for Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons at an early age.
JULIA
is ecstatic to be returning for another season at Clear Space Theatre! She is a local actress from Bethany Beach and currently attends school at the Institute for American Musical Theatre in New York City. Julia’s first show at Clear Space was in 2013. Since then, she has performed here in well over 20 productions including, Little Shop Of Horrors (Audrey), The Addams Family (Wednesday), Carrie (Carrie), Seussical (Gertrude), Spelling Bee (Olive), and Next To Normal ` (Natalie), just to name a few. Julia is determined to explore all performance avenues available to her and constantly challenges herself to grow as an artist.
SCOTT TAYLOR-COLE
a self-proclaimed local legend, is over the moon to return to the Clear Space stage. Previous Clear Space Theatre credits: Phillip Nickleby in Estella Scrooge, Squidward in SpongeBob SquarePants, Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar, and an Angel in Kinky Boots. Scott was last seen in Delaware tap dancing aboard the SS American in Milton Theatre’s production of Anything Goes. Other select credits include the regional premiere of Groundhog Day the Musical (Gus, Larry, u/s Ned Ryerson), For The Record: BratPack (Mister), The Wizard of Oz (Lion), Hairspray (Corny Collins), and Chicago (Billy Flynn). A Northern California native, Scott obtained his B.A. in Theatre from San Francisco State University and then went on to complete the two year conservatory training program at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in NYC. is no stranger to the Clear Space stage and is elated to be back after appearing in The Bodyguard, Jesus Christ Superstar (Judas), Spongebob and Kinky Boots. Some of Ashley’s favorite past roles include Crystal in Little Shop Of Horrors, Rusty in Footloose, Milly in Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, and Deloris in Sister Act! JERRY BIRL (Music Director: The Prom)
is a native of the Lewes/Rehoboth area. Jerry is the Minister of Music and Praise Team Leader at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, where he has served since 2000. Jerry has music directed ESTELLA SCROOGE, DAMN YANKEES, ELF, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, JOSEPH AND THE TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, GREASE, HELLO DOLLY!, CABARET, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (twice!), and played in the band of many shows at Clear Space.
CHRISTOPHER DECKER (Costume Designer: Jersey Boys, Rock Of Ages) is extremely excited to costume design for Clear Space after designing and creating the costumes for The Spongebob Musical, Victor/Victoria, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Damn Yankees and Matilda. He has also assisted and created pieces for shows like Seussical, Guys and Dolls, And Priscilla Queen Of The Desert. He hopes you enjoy the creativity coming to life on stage.
SHONDELLE GRAULICH (Choreographer: The Prom) as been involved in the arts and entertainment industry since she started dancing at the early age of two. Dance, as her major passion in life, led Shondelle to her professions of a Dance Studio Owner/Teacher & Choreographer and Group Fitness Instructor. She teaches at Clear Space where she recently choreographed Kinky Boots, Matilda, Elf, Frozen, Emma!, Sister Act, Carrie, Honk!, The Addams Family, The Rocky Horror Show, Fun Home, Wizard Of Oz, Priscilla Queen Of The Desert, Seussical, A Christmas Story, The Full Monty, And Radio Gaga
MARK LENARD (Scenic Designer) is honored to again share his talents with David Button and the creative team at Clear Space Theatre. Audiences will recall Mark’s elegant choreography for My Fair Lady and colorful scenic design for SpongeBob, the Musical. Last year, he also designed An American In Paris with Haddonfield Plays & Players in Southern New Jersey. Previously, Mark has designed for The Ritz Theatre (Haddon Township, NJ) for productions of The Pajama Game, Aida, Evita, Hairspray, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Dreamgirls, and Seussical.
LORRAINE LEAVEL (Costume Designer: The Prom) is thrilled to be costuming at Clear Space after designing My Fair Lady, 9 To 5, Grease, James And The Giant Peach, The Wedding Singer, Hello Dolly!, The Addams Family, The Graduate, A Christmas Carol, Heathers, and many others. She received her BFA in Music Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory. Lorraine has been a part of Clear Space for over a decade. She is very active in the local theatre community, on stage and off, including serving on various boards. Lorraine enjoys costuming (a skill she learned from her grandma) as well as managing the summer camp at Possum Point.
CANDICE JEWELL (Director/Choreographer: Rock Of Ages) is always excited to choreograph for Clear Space Theatre but is absolutely thrilled to make her directorial debut this summer with Rock of Ages. Clear Space audiences have seen her choreography in last summer’s Jesus Christ Superstar (a personal favorite of hers). Other regional favorites include La Cage aux Folles, Footloose, Legally Blonde, Joseph… Dreamcoat, and Hello, Dolly! Candice is originally from Delaware County, PA (Delco!) and holds a B.F.A. in Music Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory. She has been a part of the Clear Space family since 2016 in addition to being a full-time dance educator of all ages and lives in Wilmington, DE with her husband, Justin, and two fur babies, Figment and Gizmo.
MICHAEL RIOS (Video Projection Designer) is excited to collaborate with David Button and the Clear Space Theatre team. Based in Philadelphia, Michael is a creative portrait photographer and multimedia artist. He has experience creating video backgrounds, including for the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus. This is his first production with Clear Space Theatre.
AUTUMN DRULIS SCHNEIDER (Choreographer: Jersey Boys) has choreographed for theatres, schools, commercials and industrial events including but not limited to New Candlelight Theatre, Three Little Bakers, Delaware Ballet, The Grier School, Sussex Academy Theatre program, and Blue Moon Legends. Over the years, Autumn has been a faculty member for several studios, as well as a guest teacher and choreographer. She’s had the privilege of teaching for Rock School West, Delaware Dance Company, First State Ballet Theatre, Central Delaware Dance Academy, TADA, and Delaware Dance Festival. She resides in Lewes with her husband John and children, Dru and Natalie. Her work on Jersey Boys is dedicated in memory of her father, the sweetest Jersey boy and ultimate Four Seasons fan.
BRENDAN SMITH (Lighting Designer) has worked with Clear Space as the Lighting Designer since 2014, for which he has received multiple awards. He is mostly self-taught in the craft and refined his skills designing shows for the Dance Conservatory, Kent County Theatre Guild, Dover High School, The Schwartz Center, and Clear Space. He has two adoring sons, Jackson and Harrison.
N. THOMAS PEDERSEN (Vocal Director: Jersey Boys)
vocal coach. Artistic Director of Theatre Ten Ten NYC, The Washington Savoyards, assoc. Summer Dinner Theatre. Off-Broadway credits include Beggars Opera, Pirates of Penzance and Cowardy Custard. Regional credits include Arena Stage: Newsies, Jubilee, Kleptocracy, Seven Guitars. Long Beach Civic Light Opera: Man of La Mancha and Night Club Confidential; Library Theatre: Gypsy, A Little Night Music, Most Happy Fella’ and She Loves Me; Michigan Opera Theatre: A Little Night Music, Mikado, Die Fledermaus and Marriage of Figaro. Baritone soloist with conductors, Bernstein, Abravanel, Dorati and Shaw with the Detroit Symphony, June Opera Festival and Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. Musical Supervisor/Conductor for Barbara Eden, Shari Lewis, Gary Sandy, David Canary, John McCook, Rebecca Luker, Jana Robbins, Mel Tillis and Pam Tillis. Former Head, Music Theatre, The Catholic University of America.
ALETA THOMPSON (Properties)
has been active in Clear Space Theatre since its inception, as a board member, instructor, assistant to the director, director, actor, stage manager, and properties mistress. She has performed for CSTC and also has been known to surreptitiously sing backstage when she should have been working. She works for the University of Delaware’s Professional Development Center as a secondary literacy coach.
NICK WASS (Projection Designer/WASS TECH)
California resident and international projection designer, Nick’s credits include North Shore Musical Theatre’s Annual Christmas Carol (Beverly, Massachusetts), Selton Theatre’s Shrek (Australia), Palm Canyon Theatre’s Sweeney Todd (Palm Springs, California), Canterbury Ballet’s the Nutcracker (New Zealand), and Frozen through the Love is an Open Door program. A 3D Animator and designer, Nick creates all content himself. Anything from a large live motion captured Te Ka (Moana), to 11 projectors in use projection mapped across the stage and theatre.. Nick strives to design without compromise, providing only the highest quality to any production.
JAMES WEBER (Musical Director: Rock Of Ages, Jersey Boys)
Has had an active and varied career performing music for over 25 years. Trained at Westminster Choir College, Weber conducted a highly successful High School choral program for 12 years. He has been the choral contractor for both Mid-America Productions and DCINY for concerts in Carnegie Hall Lincoln Center, and others. Weber made his Carnegie Hall vocal solo debut in 2001, and his conducting debut in 2005. An active composer, his pieces have been recorded and performed by choirs at Westminster Choir College, among many others. On faculty at Rider University, Weber teaches classes in musical theatre and coaches students privately. Upcoming performances include MD for Into The Woods at Rider University.
MARISSA WHEATON (Stage Manager: Rock of Ages & The Prom)
is an actor and stage manager based out of Philly. A recent graduate of the University of the Arts, they are happy to be back at Clear Space for a second summer! University credits: Hamlet (Gertrude), Everybody (ASM), Chasing Olives (ensemble, fight coordinator), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Flute/Thisbe). DAVID BUTTON (Artistic Director)
is the Artistic Director of Clear Space Theatre and teaches as a member of the Arts Institute faculty, founding multiple classes including the Spotlight on Young Performers program and co-founding the Summer Acting and Musical Theatre Summer Stock Intensives. He received his B.A. in Theatre with a focus on Acting and Directing from DeSales University. David has worked regionally with the Main Street Theatre, City Theatre, the Chojinyobiko Theater Group, The Milton Theatre, and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. He directed this season’s The Mousetrap, My Fair Lady, Jersey Boys, and The Prom; and will direct Sweeney Todd... In The Fall. Past Directing Credits Include: Carrie, Fun Home, Into The Woods, Jesus Christ Superstar, Next To Normal, Clue, Misery, Baskerville, Steel Magnolias, The Odd Couple, Heathers, Mamma Mia!,...Priscilla...., The Wedding Singer, Cabaret, La Cage Aux Folles, Seussical, A Chorus Line, The Full Monty, Little Shop Of Horrors, ...Spelling Bee, Kinky Boots, Ghost, Sister Act, Joseph...Dreamcoat, The Spongebob Musical, Footloose, The Rocky Horror Show, and many more.
JOE GFALLER (Managing Director)
joined Clear Space Theatre Company as Managing Director in late 2023. A seasoned performing arts professional, Joe has held leadership positions, as well as roles in marketing, development, and community engagement with such varied organizations as the Alliance Theater, the American Repertory Theater, Opera Theater of Saint Louis, 7 Stages, and Metro Theater Company. As a consultant, he has worked with the National Blues Museum, the documentary Flint: The Poisoning of an American City, the Utah Symphony, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. He has taught arts management in Webster University’s MFA arts leadership program and has taught acting at Berry College. His resume as a stage director includes over two dozen productions, including regional premieres by Caryl Churchill, David Mamet, Peter Sinn Nachtreib, and Addae Moon. He was a member of the Leadership St. Louis Class of 2013 and the LEAD Atlanta Class of 2006, and he graduated with honors from Harvard University. He is thrilled to have relocated to the Rehoboth Beach area to become part of the team at Clear Space.
