PAYTON DELL is excited for his second show with Clear Space after making his debut earlier this season in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie! He is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Recent projects include Fiddler on the Roof, Off Off Broadway Fairly Odd Parody Musical, and Batboy.

EMILY SWETT is thrilled to be playing this dream role alongside this incredible cast and crew in her fifth production at Clear Space. Favorite credits include Company (Marta) at Possum Point Players, Leonce und Lena (Lena) at James Madison University, and ensemble roles in Sweeney Todd and Young Frankenstein at Clear Space. Emily received her Bachelor of Music from James Madison University. Thanks to her friends and Oklahoma-loving family for all their support.

MAXWELL PARMELEE is thrilled to join Clear Space Theatre this season. He recently graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Marymount Manhattan College. Previous: The Sound of Music (u/s Rolf) at Dutch Apple, R&H’s Cinderella (ensemble), Austen’s Pride: A New Musical of Pride and Prejudice (Mr. Wickham), and Ryan Scott Oliver’s Tomorrow, the Island Dies (Ephraim). A recent graduate from Cape Henlopen High School, she has been performing in theatre for over 11 years, with favorite roles including Sandy in Grease (Cape Theatre), Ariel in The Little Mermaid (Clear Space Spotlight), Lady Larkin in Once Upon A Mattress (Cape Theatre), and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde (Milton Theatre). Julia is thrilled to be a part of Oklahoma! and looks forward to pursuing a degree in Musical Theatre in the fall of 2025. Enjoy the show!

TYLER DARK is excited to be back at Clear Space. He was previously seen in The Bodyguard as The Stalker, Sweeney Todd as Jonas Fogg, and White Christmas , however he has been performing regionally for over 25 years. As a youth, he was a student at Stagedoor Manor and Baltimore School for the Arts as an Acting major. He has also been performing stand-up comedy for over a decade, sharing the stage with some of the world’s biggest acts all over the Mid-Atlantic. He lives in Rehoboth Beach with his wife and their three cats.

LIZA GOOKIN HODSKINS Thrilled to join Clear Space, Liza (not Lisa!) has sung in many European cities (with her hat out) and soloed with Metro Performs! and Zedelgem Singers (Belgium). An actual DC native, she earned a Presser Scholarship and BA in Vocal Performance (mezzo-soprano) at American University. Recent singing/dance: Victorian Lyric Opera Company, Georgetown Gilbert and Sullivan Society, and Arlington County, where she also served as the Aide to the County Board Chair. Liza is probably our first dolphin/seal/sea lion trainer. She thanks her husband, Steve, who puts up with her frequent absences for swing dancing or karaoke.

GABRIELLE GLANVILLE is delighted to bring the lively and mischievous Gertie to life in Oklahoma! at Clear Space Theatre. She has loved every moment of working on this beloved classic, especially along side some of her closest friends. Recent credits include Kayleen in Gruesome Playground Injuries, Young Ebenezer in A Christmas Carol, and the ensemble ofYoung Frankenstein. A proud resident of Fenwick Island, Gabrielle shares her home with her beloved cat, Cucumber. She is endlessly grateful to her friends and family for their unwavering support, always encouraging her to dream big and seize every opportunity.

THEO BOYD was thrilled to make his Clear Space Theatre debut last season in White Christmas. Theo has previously performed at the Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH in Beauty and the Beast (Beast), Frozen (Kristoff), Peter Pan (Mr. Smee), Mamma Mia, and A Christmas Carol.

Graduate of AMDA’s Integrated Conservatory Program. Big love to my family and friends for always inspiring me to believe in myself and keep going! @theoboyd_ DAN CARNEY was most recently seen in White Christmas, My Fair Lady, The Mousetrap, Estella Scrooge, Young Frankenstein, and Kinky Boots. He also performed in other Clear Space productions including Damn Yankees, Elf, Other Desert Cities, 9 To 5, Victor/Victoria, The Sound of

Music, Guys and Dolls, Cabaret, A Streetcar Named Desire, A Christmas Story, Hello Dolly!, Into the Woods, and The Music Man. His credits stretch from Philadelphia to Los Angeles, having performed in the musicals Man of La Mancha, The Music Man, Carnival, and Annie Get Your Gun.

ZOE CULLEN is a 9th grader at Sussex Central High School. She made her debut on the Clear Space Stage in the 2020 production of Elf: The Musical, and some featured roles include, Matilda (Matilda) and The Sound Of Music (Marta). This spring, she will be seen in Beetlejuice Jr. (Lydia) and Disaster! (Marianne) at Sussex Central. She has performed in All-County Choir and All-State Choir for 3 years. Zoe is a talented piano player and she loves to bake, run, and play guitar.

MATT HATFIELD is so excited to be making his Clear Space debut! Seen in various local theaters around Delaware and Maryland his favorite past credits include Into the Woods (Cinderella’s Prince), Noises Off (Garry), and Wait Until Dark (Carlino). He would like to thank the cast and crew for making Oklahoma! such a wonderful experience!

DULCENA KEMMERLIN is a retired teacher from Milford where she taught in the district for 27 years. She has participated in many shows with Milford's Second Street Players, Possum Point Players, and Clear Space. Her appearances include Big River (Alice), Elf, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (Mary), To Kill a Mockingbird, Night at the Oscars, Hello Dolly, Ghost: The Musical, Footloose ,

and Victor/Victoria. She was most recently in Kinky Boots, My Fair Lady, and The Music Man. Dulcena has been married for 47 years to her husband R. Anthony. They have two sons, Ralph, Jr. (aka Doc) and Prince and four beautiful grandchildren, Zoe, Mia, Luka and Caden.

DELANEY MEGINNISS is thrilled to be making her Clear Space Theatre debut in Oklahoma! She recently graduated from East Carolina University with a BFA in Musical Theatre and Acting. Some of her favorite credits include Jenny in Company, Miss Bingley in Pride and Prejudice, and Ensemble in Bright Star. In her free time, Delaney loves hanging out with her dog Milo, and crocheting blankets and tote bags.

ANDY NYLAND is pleased to return to Clear Space Theater! Most recently seen in My Fair Lady (Alfred Doolittle), and Damn Yankees (Joe Boyd), his other featured roles include Guys And Dolls (Arvide Abernathy), La Cage Aux Folles (Albin), Into The Woods (Mysterious Man) and A Christmas Carol (Ebenezer Scrooge). A native of Syracuse, NY, Andy currently lives in Salisbury, MD, with his family. He is also a trained violist, having played last year with the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra and in the pit for Salisbury Community Player’s production of Singing in the Rain.

RECE POPE is incredibly excited to perform in his first Clear Space show! He has loved every moment of working with such a talented and feels honored to perform alongside everyone. Rece has previously done shows with Possum Point Players in Georgetown (Something Rotten), the Smyrna Opera House (Chicago, Matilda), and the Second Street Players in Milford (Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Music Man). When not on stage, Rece can be found either performing with the Kent Chamber Choir in Dover or being the best dang cashier anyone has ever seen at the Milford Redner’s.

CHASE REYNOLDS is an 11th grader at Sussex Academy High School and lives in Lewes. Some favorite Sussex Academy credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Leaf Coneybear), Carrie The Musical (George), And Then There Were None (Armstrong). Chase has been in several productions at Clear Space, including James and the Giant Peach, Honk!, Elf (Michael), Seussical, Sound of Music (Kurt VonTrapp), Frozen Jr., Emma!, Scrooge!, The Little Mermaid (Grimsby), Godspell, Estella Scrooge, My Fair Lady, and Descendants (Ben). Chase would like to thank Clear Space Theater for the opportunities and expanding his love of theater. Chase would also like to thank his family, friends, and vocal coach for all of their support.

BROOKE RHUE is a 17 year old high school senior. She has appeared in shows such as Seussical, Honk!, Frozen, Emma!, The Little Mermaid (Sebastian), Matilda, Godspell and Descendants. Other performances include, Spongebob, Young Frankenstein, Estella Scrooge, My Fair Lady, and The Prom all with Clear Space. Brooke has done theatre at school with the shows Grease, Radium Girls, Matilda and Pride and Prejudice. Brooke is also involved in dance and has studied with Tatiana Akinfieva Dance Academy and is currently with Dance Alley. She loves performing and hopes to continue musical theatre through college.

BRIANNA WITTMAN has participated in many shows at her school’s theatre program including Mamma Mia! (Ali),

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Logainne) Shrek: The Musical (Fiona), High School Musical (Sharpay Evans), Legally Blonde: The Musical (Brooke Wyndham), Big River (Maryjane Wilkes), The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (Mrs. Beaver), The Wizard Of Oz, Seussical, and Alice In Wonderland. She made her Clear Space debut in Jesus Christ Superstar and Spongebob, and has since appeared in Young Frankenstein, Godspell, and The Prom.

JOHN H. HULSE (Director) has been part of the southern Delaware theater scene for more than 35 years. Besides Oklahoma!, John has directed such shows as Arsenic and Old Lace, Big River, The Music Man, Godspell, and Peter and the Starcatcher. John also enjoys being on stage. He has been seen in Clear Space’s Bye, Bye Birdie, and The Mousetrap, as well as many productions at Milford’s Second Street Players and Georgetown’s Possum Point Players.

JIM WEBER (Musical Director)

has had an active and varied career performing music for over 25 years. Trained at Westminster Choir College, Weber conducted a highly successful High School choral program for 12 years. He has been the choral contractor for both Mid-America Productions and DCINY for concerts in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and others. Weber made his Carnegie Hall vocal solo debut in 2001, and his conducting debut in 2005. An active composer, his pieces have been recorded and performed by choirs at Westminster Choir College, among many others. On faculty at Rider University, Weber teaches classes in musical theatre and coaches students privately.

MARK LENARD (Choreographer) has been working locally since 1989, most recently as the resident Choreographer for the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus from 2011 through 2018. Mark has served as Choreographer for many regional theatrical productions, including Kiss Me, Kate; Jekyll & Hyde; Les Misérables; Beauty & The Beast;

The King & I; Grease; Anything Goes!; The Mikado; Gypsy!; The Mystery Of Edwin Drood; Carousel; The Pirates Of Penzance; Bye, Bye, Birdie!; The Sound of Music; Camelot; Guys & Dolls; On The 20th Century; Oklahoma!; And Love! Valour! Compassion! He previously choreographed for Clear Space with last season’s My Fair Lady.

LORRAINE LEAVEL (Costume Designer) is thrilled to be costuming at Clear Space after designing Sweeney Todd, The Prom, 9 to 5, Grease,

James and the Giant Peach, The Wedding Singer, Hello Dolly!, The Addams Family, The Graduate, A Christmas Carol, Heathers, and many others. She received her BFA in Music Theatre from Shenandoah

Conservatory. Lorraine has been a part of Clear Space for over a decade. She is very active in the local theatre community, on stage and off, including serving on various boards. Lorraine enjoys costuming (a skill she learned from her grandma) as well as managing the summer camp at Possum Point.

ZACH NAAR (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be back on the Clear Space stage after appearing in My Fair Lady, The Bodyguard, and White Christmas last year. He is a sophomore Elementary Education major at Delaware Tech. When not on stage, he teaches Preschool at Delaware Tech’s Child Development Center. Some of his recent credits include Matilda: The Musical (Agatha Trunchbull), Radium Girls (Edward Markley), Ragtime (Ensemble), and The Little Mermaid (Prince Eric). He wants to thank all his family and friends for their endless love and support.

ED O’CONNOR (Set Design and Construction) designs real houses by day and dream houses on stage in his spare time. If Ed is not catching a wave in Hawaii or Herring Point, he is building scenic elements that take us to other places. Favorite set designs include Arsenic and Old Lace; Murder on the Orient Express; How to Succeed…; On Golden

Pond; and, most recently, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Curly may enjoy riding in a surrey, but Ed loves driving his electric Fiat around town and he also has a small all-electric-powered lawn cutting service, as well, so nothing grows as high as an elephant’s eye!

BRENDAN SMITH (Lighting Designer) has worked with Clear Space as the Lighting Designer since 2014, for which he has received multiple awards. He is mostly self-taught in the craft and refined his skills designing shows for the Dance Conservatory, Kent County Theatre Guild, Dover High School, The Schwartz Center, and Clear Space.

He has two adoring sons, Jackson and Harrison.

Clear Space Theatre Company Leadership DAVID BUTTON (Artistic Director) is the Artistic Director of Clear Space Theatre and teaches as a member of the Arts Institute faculty, founding multiple classes including the Spotlight on Young Performers program and co-founding the Summer Acting and Musical Theatre Summer Stock Intensives. He received his B.A. in Theatre with a focus on Acting and Directing from DeSales University. David has worked regionally with the Main Street Theatre, City Theatre, the Chojinyobiko Theater Group, The Milton Theatre, and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. He directed last season's The Mousetrap, My Fair Lady, Jersey Boys, The Prom, and Sweeney Todd. JOE GFALLER (Managing Director)

joined Clear Space Theatre Company as Managing Director in late 2023. A seasoned performing arts professional, Joe has held leadership positions, as well as roles in marketing, development, and community engagement with such varied organizations as the Alliance Theater, the American Repertory Theater, Opera Theater of Saint Louis, 7 Stages, and Metro Theater Company. As a consultant, he has worked with the National Blues Museum, the documentary Flint: The Poisoning of an American City, the Utah Symphony, and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. He has taught arts management in Webster University’s MFA arts leadership program and has taught acting at Berry College. His resume as a stage director includes over two dozen productions, including regional premieres by Caryl Churchill, David Mamet, Peter Sinn Nachtreib, and Addae Moon. He is currently a member of the 2025 Longwood Foundation Catalysts Together cohort, and was a member of the Leadership St. Louis Class of 2013 and the LEAD Atlanta Class of 2006. He is thrilled to have relocated to the Rehoboth Beach area to become part of the team at Clear Space.
