has been working as an industry professional, acting and singing, for the last ten years. He has performed across the country, singing in venues like Carnegie Hall in New York City. He has worked with Clear Space Theatre in roles including the titular characters in Everybody's Talking About Jamie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Other roles include Seymour in Little Shop Horrors, Mr. Green in Clue, Percy Jackson in The Lightning Thief, Dr. Frank N' Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, and Rolf in The Sound of Music. Most recently Christopher completed a run of the Helen Hayes Award nominated production of Jersey Boys at Toby's Dinner Theatre.
In 2024, he was honored with the Clear Space Theatre's Excellence in Artistic Endeavors Award for contributions in acting, directing, and costume designing. He has directed such shows as Young Frankenstein, The Bodyguard, and White Christmas. He is one of Clear Space's resident costume designers and has designed for shows like Victor/Victoria, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Bodyguard, White Christmas, and Rock of Ages for which has been nominated and won several Broadway World Awards.
He had been a performing arts educator for the past 4 years teaching at Clear Space Theatre, and most recently in the Delaware public school system. He has thrived teaching young artists in music and dance in Broadway Bound, as well as music theory and musical theatre/vocal performance.
He would like to thank Clear Space Theatre for this tremendous opportunity, the sponsor of the show for entrusting him, and to his friends and family for their love and support; especially during all the mental breakdowns throughout this process.
He hopes you enjoy this romp through the world of Alex More and Barbra Streisand! If you enjoy this performance remember his name is Christopher Decker, and if you do not enjoy this performance his name is High Jackman.
Wishing the best to Clear Space for another successful season! Rick Tedrick, Shawn Wright, and Hunter
