Volunteers’ Week 2024

2024 marked the 40th year of Volunteers’ Week (3-9 June), when thousands of charities and voluntary organisations recognised the contribution volunteers make across the UK. Volunteers’ Week is supported by small grassroots organisations as well as larger, household-name charities, who together run hundreds of activities across the UK. The contribution of volunteers is often unseen and unrecognised by many, visible only through the incredible impact of their volunteering. Taking the time during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate their efforts and all they contribute to local communities has never been more important. The Clarence Hall is fortunate to have a talented team of Trustees and other volunteers who support us in so many ways. Volunteers’ Week provides an opportunity for us to recognise the efforts of these individuals who dedicate their time and energy to ensuring the Hall remains a vibrant, welcoming place for everyone. Without their assistance, we would not be in the position we are today – we are so grateful to you all!

With Theatre Ad Hoc’s dedication to excellence and passion for storytelling, this timeless treasure was “per
Rocking the Stage!
In the annals of rock history, certain bands stand out not only for their musical prowess but also for their ability to capture the essence of an era. Limehouse Lizzy, the renowned Thin Lizzy tribute band who performed at the Clarence Hall recently, is one such group that continues to captivate audiences with their electrifying performance. In an era dominated by streaming services and digital downloads, there’s something uniquely powerful about the live music experience and we were delighted to welcome the band back to the Clarence Hall for another exhilarating performance. Our thanks to Global Promotions for organising another excellent event.
