Letter from the President Aloha everyone! Welcome to Circle K International at UH Mānoa. My name is Jolie Au and I am honored to be serving as your Circle K president for the 2016-2017 school year! I can’t wait to meet you all and get to know you a little bit better. This year will be filled with community service, leadership development, and many opportunities to make new friends. To our returning members, thank you for deciding to stick with us for another year. To our new members, thank you for expressing interest in our club. Jolie Au President Favorite Book: The Giving Tree Aloha Circle K at UH Manoa! My name is Jolie Au and I am the club president for the 2016-2017 school year. I am going into my fifth year as a UH student and member of Circle K. I am pursuing a dual prep degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I absolutely love coffee, baking, Netflix, and ALL things Disney and I'm really looking forward to getting to know you all this year! :)

Favorite Book: The Hunger Games

Yo! My name is Sean Domingo and I am a Biochemistry major. I am your Vice President of Administration and this will be my 4th and last year in Circle K. I like to watch Grey's Anatomy and I love Taste Tea!

I think that my favorite animal is the cow because they provide the milk for my milk tea. -3-

Ace Cabato Vice President of Community Service

Favorite Book: The Lightning Thief

Hey guys! My name is Ace Jaedrin Cabato. I am your Vice President of Community Service and I am majoring in Management Information Systems. This is my third year in Circle K. I've met so many people through this club and I can't wait to meet/see the new and returning members! In addition to being our club's VP of Community Service, I am also the Hawai'i Spirit Chair for Circle K's Paradise Division! Fun fact: I am the only officer that does not go to UH MÄ noa! I go to Leeward CC, but I plan on attending UH MÄ noa next year in Fall 2017.

Spirit Animal:

My favorite animal would be a turtle because that is what my mom calls me instead of lazy.

Alisa Tseng Secretary Favorite Book: The Lightning Theif Hello everyone! My name is Alisa Tseng and my major is biological engineering. This is my second year in Circle K and I am currently the club's Secretary. One interesting fact about me is that I have traveled to about 15 different countries!

Favorite Book: Harry Potter? I don't really read...

Hello, I am Dyson Sato. I am the club Treasurer for the 2016-2017 school year. I am in my third year here at UH Manoa, as well as in CKI. I am a mechanical engineering major and picking up a general business minor. I enjoy working out, sports, and video games. I hope to get to know as many people as I can this year, and work to make it a good year of service, leadership and fellowship.

My spirit animal is a Koala because I like to sleep a lot.

Danielle Au Editor Favorite Book: The Little Prince My name is Danielle Au and I am the Newsletter Editor. This will be my fourth year in Circle K, previously I was the Secretary and Co-President. I am in my fourth year majoring in mechanical engineering. One fun fact about me is that I love rainbow sprinkles.

Sabrina Young Kiwanis Family Chair Favorite Book: The Ranger's Apprentice series Hey everyone! My name is Sabrina Young and I am the Kiwanis Family Chair for this wonderful club! I am a sophomore Civil Engineering student and this is my second year in CKI, but my sixth year in the Kiwanis Family (Whoop whoop!) I love to meet new people and look forward to getting to know everyone over the course of our meetings and events!

Vanessa Ganir Membership Development and Education Chair Favorite Book: Oh, The Places You'll Go

Hi, I'm Vanessa Ganir and I am this year's Membership of Development and Education Chair. I am a double major in Psychology and Family Resources and have been a part of Circle K for two years. I enjoy working with children and want to work with kids in the future.

My spirit animal is a pug because pugs are short, intelligent, and cooperative. They love to socialize with others, but also knows how to enjoy their own solitude.

Brandon Martinez Public Relations Chair Favorite Book: The Lightning Thief Hi, my name is Brandon Martinez, the Public Relations Chair. I'm a senior in psychology and I've been a member of Circle K for two years now. Something interesting about me is that I used to be an engineer but switched to psychology.
