Dear Weatherford Residents,

Summer is in full swing and there is good news to tell all over Weatherford We recently celebrated the completion of the York Avenue Reconstruction and Northwest Quadrant Improvement project This transformation is a testament to our community’s vision, hard work, and dedication to enhancing the vibrancy and appeal of our beloved town

Our revitalized York Avenue now features beautifully landscaped public spaces, increased and enhanced parking, lighting, and improved pedestrian pathways, making it a more enjoyable place to live, work, and visit.

As we celebrate this grand opening, let us recognize the collective effort that has brought us here and celebrate the beginning of a new era for our downtown area. Thank you to all who helped make this vision a reality, and the many community members for joining us in the celebration. Let’s continue to keep our historic downtown a place where memories are made and dreams are realized.

Join us on July 4th for our annual Spark in the Park celebration at Heritage Park This event will feature live music from the Eli Young Band, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and a spectacular fireworks display It’s a fantastic opportunity to come together, celebrate our nation's independence, and enjoy a beautiful summer evening with friends and family

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 13th as we celebrate the annual Parker County Peach Festival This beloved tradition will showcase delicious peach-themed treats, shopping, live entertainment, and fun activities for all ages.

These events highlight the vibrant spirit and closeknit community we are so proud of. I encourage everyone to participate, volunteer, and help make these gatherings memorable for all.

On June 26, something truly incredible was accomplished at the shelter: spaying, neutering, and vaccinating 123 cats. Thanks to Parker Paws for their generous sponsorship, the shelter was able to make a significant impact by preventing many kittens from facing a life on the streets
