Through the month of October, the Weatherford Fire Department’s Clown Safety Program brought fun and fire safety education to schools across Weatherford and homeschool groups. With humor and demonstrations, the team taught students how and when to call 911, the “Stop, Drop, and Roll” technique, and the PASS method for using a fire extinguisher
Students also learned simple first aid for burns and important fire prevention tips, like keeping flammable items away from heat sources and creating home escape plans
The program reached over 2,500 children and 150 adults in our community. The Fire Safety Clown Program continues to make safety memorable and empowering for local students.
