CFAC Arts Camp
Our arts camp with the Community Folk Art Center was truly one for the books. Youth had the chance to explore a wide range of creative expressions from spoken word, ceramics, and painting to music and yoga, to name a few. Each day brought a new opportunity for self-expression and creativity with prompts that encouraged deep thinking. One powerful prompt, “Dear Mr. President,” led to moving speeches about equality, kindness, and inclusion.
The camp concluded with a meaningful mural project— murals dedicated to Syracuse PAL and youth writing what PAL means to them. The creativity, vulnerability, and talent displayed throughout this camp were beyond inspiring. We extend our deepest thanks to everyone at the Community Folk Art Center. Your dedication, compassion, and commitment to nurturing the creativity of our youth left a lasting impact.
SU LEADERSHIP CAMP
MICHAEL JENSEN MEMORIAL SUMMER CAMPS
Syracuse University Leadership Camp
Syracuse PAL proudly hosted a Leadership Camp for rising high school freshmen in partnership with the Syracuse University Department of Public Safety. Campers developed communication, leadership, and teamwork skills through interactive workshops.
Campers did outdoor obstacle courses that challenged participants to communicate and collaborate under pressure. One of the most memorable highlights was a tour of SU’s athletic facilities, where Coach Fran Brown delivered an inspiring speech on leadership and personal growth.

SUNY ESF Camp
We had another fantastic year at the SUNY ESF Camp! The youth enjoyed hikes, hands-on environmental projects, engaging games, and lessons that sparked curiosity about the natural world. From learning about food chains, composting, and water cycles to exploring fossils and testing water quality, our campers were immersed in environmental science in a fun, interactive way.
A huge thank you to our partners at SUNY ESF for their continued dedication to Syracuse PAL and for nurturing the next generation of environmental stewards. Special appreciation goes to Olivia Whitmarsh for her continued coordination and for creating such a powerful, memorable camp experience for our youth.

Syracuse University Esports Camp
Thank you to the Syracuse University Esports Department for creating an exciting educational environment where aspiring gamers explored esports, teamwork, and digital strategy in an engaging and supportive space.
We are so grateful to The Summit Federal Credit Union for planting the seeds of financial literacy into our youth and for being present to guide these important conversations. Special thanks to Megan Danaher for her leadership, passion, and positive energy! Thank you to all of the volunteers for pouring into our youth.

LACROSSE CAMP

Syracuse PAL Lacrosse Camp
We had another incredible Syracuse PAL Lacrosse Camp in partnership with Valley Lacrosse! Our athletes worked on basic skills like cradling and shooting. They also practiced more advanced skills like the face dodge. Our youth showed great enthusiasm and dedication. It was inspiring to see them out on the field, working hard and having fun.
We are deeply grateful to Walt Eccles for his continued partnership and commitment to Syracuse PAL. His support plays a vital role in planting seeds of growth and opportunity for our youth. A special thank you also goes to Coach Ray Ryan and Coach Braeden Elmer for leading the camp with passion and purpose. Thank you to all of the high school athletes that volunteered!
