COMMON SPACE RESPONSIBILITES
WE’RE SHARING. SHARED SPACE MEANS SHARED RESPONSIBILITIES.
Please follow these house rules and behaviors to ensure we demonstrate respect and decency for everyone utilizing the space:
KITCHEN BREAK ROOM
DON’T LEAVE A MESS
Clean up after yourself by wiping up any spills, cleaning and putting away dishes, and throwing away all trash.
KEEP TRACK OF YOUR FOOD AND DRINK
Label items with your first and last name and throw them away when they are old or spoiled.
RESTOCK SUPPLIES
When common supplies are running low, submit a work order request to alert your Office Administrator.
COFFEE STATIONS
Taking a coffee break at work should be a relaxing, and relatively simple, process. There are designated coffee stations throughout the offices for employee use. Coffee equipment should not be used in private offices or at your desk. Here are a few quick tips to ensuring everyone is being a good steward of the coffee stations:
KEEP THE AREA TIDY
Wipe up any stains, grounds, or spills.
KEEP THE COFFEE FRESH
Fill the pot if you take the last cup, clean the pot after use, and dispose of used coffee grounds at the end of the day.
BRING A MUG TO WORK
Do not use somebody else’s mug. There are paper cups available if you don’t have your own mug. Empty your cup after use to avoid spills.
RESTOCK SUPPLIES
Help restock supplies when they are low. Extra supplies are in the cabinets of the kitchen breakrooms.
CONFERENCE AND MEETING ROOMS
DON’T LEAVE A MESS
Collect and dispose of all trash and refuse after meetings to prepare the space for the next user.
STICK TO THE SCHEDULE
We know meetings can go over. If they do, go virtual. There may be others waiting for the room.
MAKE CANCELLATIONS AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE
Canceling the calendar invite releases the room from the M365 system, allowing others to book the room if needed.
USE THE SCHEDULER
Don’t assume any empty room is up for grabs. Use the scheduler even for last minute meetings.
BE THOUGHTFUL AND ACCOMMODATING
Take the time to turn off lights and shut the door behind you so those outside the room aren’t disturbed by your meeting.
LIMIT FOOD AND DRINKS
KEEP THE ROOM AS IS
Don’t remove equipment from the room. If you need to rearrange the room, schedule in time to rearrange it back before the next meeting, so you aren’t running into another person’s scheduled time.
RESTROOMS
Help keep the space clean by flushing toilets, being mindful of what is not allowed down the drain, checking for spots or spills, and throwing out paper towels.
Please report any restroom issues by submitting a work order request.
CLEANING AND FIRST AID
There are cleaning supplies and an AED First Aid Kit located under the sink in the Kitchen Break Rooms. The following cleaners are recommended based on material:
