The City of South El Monte, alongside the American Public Works Association (APWA) and municipalities nationwide, celebrates National Public Works Week on May 18th through 24th, 2025. This week honors the dedicated professionals who ensure the upkeep and provision of essential public streets, facilities, and services throughout our cities. The Public Works department plays a critical role in sustaining resilient communities, promoting public health, enhancing quality of life, and fostering the well-being of South El Monte residents.

Our city’s infrastructure, facilities, and services owe their existence to the unwavering dedication of our Public Works department. Collaborating with stakeholders, they spearhead capital improvement projects, maintain infrastructure, and enhance quality of life services, all aimed at elevating the well-being of South El Monte residents. To the team behind our cherished parks, Aquatics Center, Community Center, and Senior Center upkeep, we extend a heartfelt gratitude and recognition for your tireless efforts.
