SOUTH EL MONTE GEARS UP FOR ANNUAL 5K TURKEY DASH & 1K TROT

The City of South El Monte Community Services Department invites residents and visitors to lace up their running shoes for the annual 5K Turkey Dash & 1K Trot on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at South El Monte City Hall,1415 Santa Anita Ave.

The fun begins with the 1K race at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 5K race at 9:30 a.m. This family-friendly event encourages runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages to get active and celebrate the season in a spirited community atmosphere. Participants can enjoy a morning filled with fitness, fun, and friendly competition.

Registration is now open online at https://register.chronotrack.com/r/87818 or in person at the South El Monte Community Center (1530 Central Ave.), Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Registration fees are $5 for residents and $10 for non-residents (proof of residency required for the discounted rate).
