AFFORDABLE HOMEOWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY - STARLITE IN SOUTH EL MONTE -
The City of South El Monte is offering 21 affordable for-sale homes within the Starlite development, ranging from 1,348 to 1,923 sq. ft., with 2 to 4 bedrooms and 2.5 to 3.5 bathrooms. These homes are available to very low-, low-, and moderate-income homebuyers.
Housing Lottery & Selection Process
Interested buyers will be entered into a randomized lottery for a chance to participate. As spots open on the priority list, participants will be contacted and given two business days to confirm interest and begin the prequalification process. Those who choose not to proceed will be removed from the list.
Homebuyer Requirements
• Must not own a home at the time of escrow closing
• Must meet income eligibility (see chart)
• Must complete prequalification within 7 days of receiving instructions
• Must attend a HUD- or National Reinvestment Corporation-certified homebuyer education class before closing.
