SOUTH EL MONTE AQUATIC CENTER POOL REPLASTERING PROJECT UPDATE

The South El Monte Aquatic Center Pool Replastering Project is underway. The Aquatic Center will be closed for approximately three months to allow for necessary renovations to the large and small pools. The project will address the aging surface of both pools by replastering them.

The project is funded through grants from the California Natural Resources Agency and Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), administered locally by the Los Angeles County Development Authority.

The scope of work includes removing and replacing tiles (including those with depth markers and swimming lane markers), updating lighting fixtures, and replacing handrails and drain covers. The project is expected to be completed by mid-December 2024.

We appreciate your patience during these upgrades and look forward to welcoming you back to the improved facility!
