JOIN US FOR THE NEXT TRASH-OFF
Last month, Lancaster's Code Compliance Division, in partnership with Community Waste Disposal (CWD), hosted a successful Trash-Off event, helping residents dispose of bulky items & unwanted materials with ease
At this free event, residents brought bulk trash like tree limbs and furniture, along with paper for shredding, expired prescriptions, & even old tires, all safely disposed of by CWD.
If you missed it, don’t worry! Our next Trash-Off is right around the corner on March 22nd This special edition is an X-treme Green Trash-Off, offering even more disposal options! Bring household hazardous waste, such as leftover paint, electronics, and household metal goods for proper recycling

EAST PLEASANT RUN LANE CLOSURE
Please be advised that due to ongoing construction, the right lane of East Pleasant Run Road will be closed from January 27, 2025, through February 21, 2025 Please plan your travel accordingly, drive safely, and follow all posted detour signs.
NORTH HENRY ST. LANE CLOSURE
Street reconstruction on N Henry Street (between E 7th and E 4th) begins Tuesday, February 4th, and is expected to last about three weeks, weather permitting Residents will have access during construction hours

Trash and recycling are collected once a week Lancaster is divided into five areas, and your pickup day depends on your location. Use the interactive map on the city's website by clicking here to find your collection day

FLOOD SAFETY TIPS
Flooding occurs when water overflows onto normally dry land and is the most common natural disaster in the U.S.
Follow these safety tips to stay protected:
Avoid Flooded Streets: Never walk or drive through floodwaters water depth can be deceptive
Bring Pets Indoors: At the first sign of a storm or warning, bring your pets inside to keep them safe.
Stay Out of Deep Water: Just 6 inches of water can cause most vehicles to lose control or stall
