Sportball Multi-Sport is a dynamic sports program that focuses on skill development in a different sport each class (soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, tennis, hockey, golf, and baseball). Classes apply developmentally appropriate methodology to introduce, practice, and refine motor skills, progress sports skills, reinforce the benefits of teamwork and prepare your athlete for a future of confident sports participation. Basic fundamentals of golf taught include: swing, chipping , putting and golf etiquette. Students need to wear golf or tennis shoes and collared shirt. Flying through the air, defying gravity and unleashing a perfect spike! From the Summer Olympics to a match at the beach. Volleyball is a game of grace and athleticism. It also happens to be a wonderfully inclusive, barrier-free sport for children of all ages to learn balance, coordination and spatial awareness. Children learn skills like serving, spiking, bumping, and volleying through skillfocuses play in a supportive non-competitive setting. Learn effective self-defense and build confidence through physical conditioning, balance and flexibility. Wooden hardware is used, such as the bokken (replica sword), Jo (staff) and Tanko (replica knife), to strengthen joints and muscles, while helping align the body for correct techniques. There is an optional material fee of $85 for the uniform and an additional fee for the wooden hardware payable to the instructor. NEW! Acting for Beginners to Intermediate
This class will benefit those looking to grow over time, and is designed to learn the essential skills necessary to work as a professional actor. The class will concentrate on creating truthful performances by learning what it means to "be in the moment". Various topics of study include improvisation, games, cold reading, taking direction, character analysis, and breaking down a script. The goal is to get young actors feeling relaxed, confident, and secure performing for an audience. In the class, students learn to build their work from the inside out by asking Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How of a character and learn to seek out the truest expression and life of that person. At the end of the course the actors will perform in a play for the public.
