Strategic Plan Definition

The Strategic Plan is the City’s long-range roadmap. It defines where we are going, what we want to achieve, and how we will get there. It aligns the City Commission’s policy direction with the daily work of staff, ensuring that every department, project, and investment is moving toward the same shared vision.

Five Years of Action. Fifteen Years of Impact

Strategic Plan vs Comprehensive Plan

Although both plans guide the City of Boynton Beach, they serve different purposes, operate on different timelines, and address different types of decisions.

Strategic Plan = “How we operate, what we prioritize, and how we allocate resources.” Flexible, organizational, operational.

Comprehensive Plan = “How the city will grow and what can be built where.” Regulatory, statutory, land-use focused.
