Citizen Support
The City of Jundiaí’s people have already approved the assistance services offered by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Secretariat (SEMADS), by Jundiaí’s Social Fund of Solidarity Fund (FUNSS) and the Municipal Foundation for Social Action (FUMAS). Every year, these agencies conduct major campaigns, working together for a better quality of life in the city.
With these actions, Jundiaí’s City Hall has been developing an excellent job of citizenship. Last year alone, the Social Fund provided more than 40 vocational courses, which attracted more than 1,900 students, many of whom reentered the job market.

Among the courses offered by FUNSS are those of: patternmaker, pastry, 2D animation and civil construction, the latter, actually, quite popular among the population.
Important Partnerships
The patternmaker and civil construction courses are the result of a partnership between the Social Solidarity Fund of Jundiaí and the National Industrial Learning Service (SENAI).
Aiming at professional qualification, as well as the entry or re-entry of the citizen in the labor market, Jundiaí’s City Hall spares no efforts to ensure a better future for the population.
Another entity that has also partnered with City Hall was the National Service of Commercial Learning (SENAC), through the Program of Education for Work (PET). This program is designed for the disadvantaged youth in the city and aims at qualifying them for the labor market.
Large companies located in the city also contribute to the social actions undertaken by FUNSS, such as Sara Lee Cafés, for example, which was responsible for conducting the course of bakery/pastry.
For Everyone
To facilitate the access of all to the courses offered free of charge to the population, the City Hall of the municipality has extended the service to several neighborhoods in the city. Among the neighborhoods served are Tamoio, São Camilo, Novo Horizonte and Fazenda Grande, among others.
After completing the courses, many students start to live off their own work. The courses offered by FUNSS contribute to the citizen’s entry into the labor market, and ensure income generation for those who want to work at home and ensure the support of their family.
The courses offered are sewing, manicure and pedicure, handmade chocolate, desserts and cakes, artisan bakery, fine bakery, shop window cakes and computing, among others.
