SPRING SHOWS This April, Sunrise Theatre has a packed calendar of events, with world-class shows in almost every genre imaginable. Spend a night with an iconic British psychedelic band. Let the biggestselling instrumental musician of all time serenade you. Rock out with Great Britain’s most explosive tribute show. And that’s only the beginning.

Here are five shows coming in April to the Sunrise Theatre. The Zombies Life Is a Merry-Go-Round Tour - Saturday, April 2, at 8 p.m. The Zombies are back to celebrate their long-awaited Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction and a new album that’s coming soon. You won’t regret seeing these British psychedelic icons. Their live performances have been called “absolutely triumphant.” As the second U.K. band to top the charts in the U.S. after The Beatles, they dominated the airwaves in the 1960s, with sophisticated melodies, breathy vocals and jazzy keyboard riffs. Cost: Starts at $42.50 Or, level up to the VIP tour package for $182.50. You get a premium ticket (in the first 15 rows), a vintage logo tote bag, a Union Jack beach towel and a VIP pass, among other band swag. Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox: The Grand Reopening Tour Thursday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. Postmodern Jukebox is a rotating musical collective founded by arranger and pianist Scott Bradlee. Since 2011, Postmodern Jukebox (known as PMJ by those in the know) has built a global 20 | CITY MANAGER’S REPORT

reputation for spinning today’s pop hits into the genres of yesterday, like 1920s swing and jazz. This show is the perfect event for the whole family and anyone who likes to lament that they just don’t make music like they did in the good old days. Bradlee and the PMJ prove that everything old is new again. Cost: Starts at $42.50 The VIP tour package includes a premium reserved seat, an autographed tour poster and more. Terry Fator: It Starts Tonight (Rescheduled Date) Friday, April 8, at 8 p.m. Ventriloquist, singer, comedian and celebrity impressionist Terry Fator became a star overnight after appearing on “America’s Got Talent” back in 2007. But, it took him 32 years — and more than 100 voice impersonations — to get there. Fator combines ventriloquism with singing impressions of celebrities like Elvis, Garth Brooks and Kermit the Frog. And, yes, he’s bringing his beloved puppets Cowboy Walter, Emma Taylor and Winston the Impersonating Turtle. Prepare to laugh! An Evening With the Iconic Kenny G (Rescheduled) Saturday, April 9, at 8 p.m. Prepare to swoon over the smooth jazz of the world’s best-known saxophonist, Kenny G As biggest-selling instrumental musician of all-time, Kenny G has spent five decades weaving together a career that spans R&B, pop and Latin music. A staple of adult contemporary and smooth jazz radio stations, Kenny G will be sure to deliver a mesmerizing show perfect for date night.
