SUNRISE THEATRE

WITH BIG SMILES OPEN ARMS

The Fort Pierce Police Department took a quick detour to spend some time with the kiddos at the Open Arms of Fort Pierce, a non-profit ministry hosted by Trinity Lutheran Church. They serve children six weeks of age to six years of age, and also provide before and after school care for elementary age children through age twelve.

Our officers passed out stickers, opened doors to the patrol vehicles to spread warm smiles to the young ones who were more than excited to see our men and women in blue.

TIPS

for charity

Our first Tip-A-Cop event was held on March 12th. The Fort Pierce Police Department teamed up with the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office and made just over $2500 in three hours at Duffy’s Sports Grill in St. Lucie West!!

The Fort Pierce Police Department would like to thank everyone who came out to help support this awesome event and a huge thanks to the crew at Duffy's Sports Grill for the continued, year-after-year support of Special Olympics Florida.

Just in case you missed the first Tip-A-Cop this year, the Fort Pierce Police Department will be at Second Street Bistro in Fort Pierce on Friday, April 8th from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

FIGHTING THE CAUSE A former Fort Pierce Police Department Officer's breast cancer diagnosis sparked the department’s desire to support the officer and all residents impacted by the disease. The department designed a new breast cancer awareness vehicle, that also supports the fight for a cure for all forms of cancer. The vehicle has been assigned to Officer Kenny Lawrence; a six-year veteran on the force. This cause hits close to home for Officer Lawrence who says he'll continue the fight to help find a cure for the disease.
