Greeting My Circle-Let Sisters,
T
ime just seems to fly by! At our Christmas party, I was reminiscing with my chapter sisters about the wonderful time we had at the Dallas Conclave and now it’s time to think about going to Boston. I hope as you are making your summer travel plans that you consider joining us for lobster, clam chowder and the Freedom Trail. But before we get there, I want to share with you some exciting developments. There is a quote that says “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.” These words describe the efforts of the Executive Committee and the following three special committees: • The Technology Committee, chaired by Stephanie Browne, will launch the new website this spring. With this enhanced system, you will be able to register for Conclave online, if you choose. We will have a training session at Conclave for chapter secretaries and treasurers to learn how to change member profiles and produce next year’s chapter reports and rosters. • The Jewelry/ Vendor Committee, chaired by Jakki Allen, had our jewelry mold updated and will have a select number of vendors at Conclave. • The By-Law committee, chaired by Yvonne Robinson, will have completed the review of our Rules, Regulations and Procedures. Any changes will be sent to Chapters for consideration and voted upon at Conclave. I invite you to attend the 2015 Conclave and witness their determination. In November, I attended the 50th anniversary of the Pittsburgh Chapter. Chair Cecile Springer and President Rhonda Wade planned a fun and congenial evening. The ladies were glamour, the men were handsome, the conversations were interesting, the food was delicious and the music was entertaining. I will have many memories from my tenure as your president and, believe me, that evening will bring a smile to my heart each time I hear Pittsburgh. Thank you my sisters. In this issue we our attempting fewer words and more pictures. I hope you enjoy.
Yours in the Circle,
