The Challenge

For this project, we were required to create a blog on any topic we wanted using WordPress and the WordPress Twenty Twenty theme.

The Big Idea

I saw this project as the perfect opportunity to create a project fully focused around my taste in music. I focused my blog around discussions of all things music, whether it be album reviews or opinions.

The Road to Success

I was inspired mostly by Pitchfork, one of the web’s most popular music blogs. I wanted my blog to take on the approach of being run by multiple people, rather than just one person, which is reflected in the use of “we” instead of writing “I”.

Issues on the Way

One of the issues I faced was not realizing how long it would take me to finish several of my posts. One of my posts, my Hikaru Utada revisit, took 6-8 hours to complete. Other posts took similar amounts of time to complete.

The End Result

I ended this project by creating one of my favorite projects. I’m proud of how I was able to thoroughly incorporate my interest in music into a believable music blog. I may choose in the future to continue making posts on this blog as I enjoy writing about music.
