EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:

The Early Childhood Education class is a twoyear program that focuses on the development and education of children from birth to school age. This program is designed for students who are interested in careers in Early Childhood Education and related fields. Students participate in hands-on placement experiences where they demonstrate theory knowledge by educating and caring for young children.

First aid and CPR training are key components in the child safety unit. In 2011, 66% of all FEH BOCES Completers went onto some postsecondary education or training. Early Childhood Education students can apply to receive articulation credit at the following institutions: SUNYCanton Herkimer County Comm. Meet all graduation requirements at the home school Pass all 3 parts of the National Technical Assessment (written, practical and project) Successfully complete the two year CTE Program
