Career & Technical Education 21ST CENTURY AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE Students who are enrolled in the 21st Century Agricultural Science Program will have the opportunity to integrate scientific principles, Math, and English. Students will also be exposed to a number of topics which will include: hydroponics, aquaculture, food science, plant/soil science, environmental science, and agricultural mechanics, as well as agribusiness and production agriculture. Agricultural Science students have the opportunity to explore a variety of careers, develop leadership skills, as well as presentation and public speaking skills through membership in the National FFA organization along with participating in the local branch of the FFA. Modern day trends and issues will be discussed. This program is designed for the development of critical thinking and shared decision making skills. In 2011, 66% of all FEH BOCES Completers went onto some postsecondary education or training.
