Six Senses Maxwell has opened in Singapore’s historic Tanjong Pagar district, completing the brand’s first ever city hotel project after the opening of sister property Six Senses Duxton, with both locations together comprising Six Senses Singapore. Originally the site of a nutmeg plantation, the hotel’s 14 three-storey and four-storey colonial-style buildings were built in 1929 and showcase the refined yet flamboyant and sensual aesthetic of renowned French architect and interior designer Jacques Garcia. Six Senses Maxwell accommodates 138 guest rooms and suites, all thoughtfully decorated with custom furnishings, William Yeoward glassware and Naturalmat mattresses, organic linens by Beaumont & Brown and original artwork. Look out for the 25-metre outdoor rooftop lap pool and cocktail bar; eclectic cocktails influenced by Straits Heritage at Cook & Tras; and sustainable cuisine at The Murray Terrace Brasserie.
