SFS VISITED THE FLOODED FAMILIES IN PARACIN
Disturbing photos come from Paracin where members of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs from Belgrade with the help of the local priesthood of the Serbian Orthodox Church made a list of the most endangered families whose houses were totally ruined in the floods which hit this town. The plan is to help approximately 50 most endangered families from Paracin by delivering the household appliances
Unfortunately, a month after the terrible floods which hit Serbia and the Republic of Srpska the picture is the same all over flooded areas. The sanation of the houses is slow, because it depends upon the drying of the walls which is a long-term process. Most of the people in Paracin don't live in their houses, and a part of them don't have the strength to start repairing the damage. The primary reason is the lack of money. Even after more than a month after the floods about 10 families live in temporary collective lodging without the indication that their situation could be changed.
