The peewee chicks went undefeated bringing home the gold medal and the banner. The banners now hang proudly at the Moore Arena. Great season girls. Our Midget team also excelled and improved greatly over the year bringing a silver medal from Sudbury. They played at the rep C level and were extremely competitive throughout the year. They were

very close to making it to the provincial championships but lost to Thessalon who ended up winning the bronze at the provincials. You were that close girl's great season. The Chapleau Girls Hockey Association executive has done a great job this season. Enrolment was down slightly due to the fact we did not have enough to ice a bantam team. CGHA are very optimistic and feel enrolment will be up next season. Hopes are to ice three teams again. The Peewee and Midget teams did very well and continue to be enrolled as part of the largest women's hockey association in Canada the Ontario Wo m e n ' s H o c k e y Association (OWHA) who governs women's hockey in Ontario.
