Loving My Club
New to Baltimore in the 70’s, we were looking for a social/dining club downtown that reflected the diverse population of the city. We wanted an atmosphere of diverse camaraderie, good food, and a welcoming environment in which to meet new people from all over Baltimore. We sought a welcoming venue for our family celebrations and special occasions under the watchful and hospitable eyes of a welcoming staff (remember Dolores??). We found all those things at The Center Club and it has never disappointed….”

Then, we’ll compare those to distinctive bottlings from California, South Africa, and France, revealing just how versatile and expressive this varietal can be.

Rememebering Lamar Mitchell 1991-2025
Event Setup Coordinator at The Center Club
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our longtime team member, Lamar Mitchell, who was involved in a serious car accident and has passed away. Lamar was a devoted part of our team for nearly 15 years and was the nephew of former manager Eric Eason. To many of us, Lamar was far more than a colleague—he was family. The Club was his world, his sanctuary, and a place where he felt deeply valued and at home.
His warmth, reliability, and unwavering commitment to both his team and our community were extraordinary. Lamar brought heart, steadiness, and kindness to everything he did, leaving a profound and lasting mark on all who had the privilege of working beside him. His spirit will remain a cornerstone of who we are, reminding us daily of the strength and love he shared so generously.
