Center for Child Counseling and Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Palm Beach County are joining forces to address the full spectrum of perinatal through early childhood mental health

Why Perinatal, Infant, and Early Childhood Mental Health?
The first 1,000 days of life—from pregnancy through age three—form the most important foundation for lifelong health. During this time, brain development, emotional security, and resilience are profoundly shaped by the quality of relationships and environments.
The perinatal period (pregnancy through the first year after birth) is especially critical. Parental mental health, secure attachment, and early responsive caregiving directly impact a child’s capacity to learn, relate, and thrive.

att is a Tenured Professor at UMass Chan Medical perinatal psychiatrist, and physician-scientist focused on ving systems of care to promote the mental health of ents and children. She developed MCPAP for Moms, now a national model for perinatal mental health care. She is the ounding Executive Director of the Lifeline for Families Center and Lifeline for Moms Program at UMass Chan Medical School. Her research uses implementation science methods to design, implement, and evaluate scalable approaches for improving parental and child mental health services and outcomes.
