




Offers from universities continue to come in. So far, our students have received 103 unconditional offers and our offers from the top universities has risen 6% from last year. This is a fantastic achievement!
Last term we saw the launch of the Uni Ready Programme created in partnership with Higher Horizons. Students from all 3 campuses learnt about student finance and budgeting, first term survival, and results day and clearing. It was so popular we are doing it again this term!
Edge Hill University have been busy on our 3 campuses, delivering ‘Intro’ workshops in subjects from business to nursing.
We have welcomed UA92, Manchester Metropolitan University, Keele University and Coventry University onto campus to meet our students who have applied there to help ease the transition to university. There are more to come this term!
Jadon Charlesworth and Millie Houghton were selected for a bespoke Classics residential with the University of Oxford and have received glowing feedback. Huge congratulations to them!
As a hub for the North West Science Network we were thrilled to host the Maths in Science Workshop over the Easter break. Students from across the North West, including 6 of our own worked with Oxford professors on how maths is used from cancer treatments to jet engines!
MMU delivered a fantastic session to students about the realities of a degree apprenticeship and top tips for applying to them.
Following a successful pilot programme we will be rolling out Scholars for Schools to more local high schools this coming term!
On our Crewe campus’ doorstep, Keele University is a beautiful, local choice for our students and ranked Britain’s Best University (by undergraduates) in 2022. With acres of greenery and a focus on sustainability, Keele also hosts an impressive medical and veterinary school.
Our aspiring doctors are off to Edge Hill University to explore their medical school and life as a trainee medic.
In partnership with Edge Hill we will be discussing how we can make university more accessible to students from a widening participation background. If you would like to be involved in this discussion then please get in touch.
Originally a design college, Coventry University still stands as one of the leading institutions for technology courses in the country. It is regarded as one of the best modern universities for career prospects.
Higher Horizons will be at each campus to discuss all the support available at university for students with additional access needs.
Our students on the Honours Programme are nearing the end of their course and so they are due a celebration in the Academy Restaurant for their hard work this year!
