La Poblanita

Restaurant Review
Jessica López Zepeda 3o Secundaria
If you want to know and eat the typical and popular food from Mexico, La Poblanita is the perfect restaurant for you. There are many restaurant branches; however, the one that will be reviewed is located on 14, Gobernador Luis G. Vieyra Street, in San Miguel Chapultepec, in Mexico City.
This restaurant is fantastically decorated with Mexican elements such as papel picado (folk art), bright colors, and flags, among others. There are usually people playing and singing Mexican music while you eat; they are called “Mariachis. ” Sometimes it gets a little bit noisy, so if you want to talk or chill, you may have to look for another place. Nevertheless, it is nice to be there having a pleasant atmosphere, typical of this unique country.
Usually, you shouldn’t wait long for a table to be available. Occasionally, the restaurant is full on weekends, but generally in twenty minutes you will get a table. I really liked the way they implemented a new protocol to protect everyone due to the Coronavirus such as the antibacterial gel before you enter and the safe distance. In addition, there are outdoor tables for the health of the diners.
The food is succulent, and the dishes are well served, so you’ll be satisfied. The average price of consumption per person is $150 MNX. Personally, I love the dish called "Manchamanteles, " which is made of chicken or pork, pineapple, apple, banana, chili peppers, and almonds; it is between salty and sweet, and the combination is spectacular. However, for me the flavored water (hibiscus, horchata and lemon with chia) that they make in a special machine was sugary, so I decided to order fizzy water so that it wouldn't be so sweet.
The service is very effective; the waiters are friendly and always serve people properly. Furthermore, the dishes are ready quickly in about ten minutes, so I left 10% as a tip.
It’s open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. La Poblanita has been in business since 1947, so they
have been making dishes for a long time, which are representative of Mexican cuisine. I truly recommend this restaurant because it is an amazing place to eat and spend time with your family, following the traditional Mexican gastronomy, which has been passed down from generation to generation. Also, if you are a foreigner who wants to know Mexican culinary dishes, this place is ideal for you.
