How long have you been in business? Sixty two years.
Where are you located? Our head office and quarry is at Golden Grove. We have quarries at McLaren Vale, Reeves Plains, Gawler, Nuriootpa, Port Augusta and the Yorke Peninsula and Callington.
How did you start your business? We began by looking for clay. At the time there were 20 to 30 clay brick makers. Many were in the Bowden/Brompton area.
What are your core business activities/specialties? We supply quarry products including sand, soil and rubbles. Specialities include thermal sand and bio filter media sands.
Completed project, products or services you have worked on or have that you are most proud of? NRAH (new Royal Adelaide Hospital), Adelaide Oval, Torrens to Torrens, Gawler East Link Project, Bungala Solar Farm and Glasshouse Port Augusta, Morphettville Racecourse main track and the new dog track at Murray Bridge.
How many machines do you have in your fleet and what types? We run 19 loaders, 8 mobile screening plants, 2 excavators (30T), 2 D7 dozers and a grader 12H. We also run 15 trucks including tandems, truck and trailers, and semis.
How many staff do you employ? With staff and subcontractors, approximately 30.
