We are pleased to announce that GELATOn the Road officially started on the 1st of April, which aim is to create the first European ‘Gelato Road’ based on: criteria of energy and environmental sustainability, product and raw material quality, innovation of the artisan gelato supply chain system and on the culture and enhancement of the territory. The project involves 14 European and nonEuropean organisations and 2 associated partners, with Longarone Fiere Dolomiti Srl as Coordinator.

On the 6th of June we met for the first time in person in Berlin, where we had the possibility to get to know each other better and to explain how we want to organise this project in order to reach as many people as possible.

Our Chamber of Commerce, as the leader of the dissemination activities, will take a very important role and we plan to do this through the creation of the website, the Label Logo, the Project graphic visual identity and organising and coordinating meetings and events.

The aim of this project is to preserve the Gelato culture by bringing together several countries of the European Union. We will create a Gelato passport, where you can collect stamps in all the gelato shops that belong to the ERoG and the people who get the most stamps will win a prize!

In addition, at the end of the project, a "Flavour Contest" will take place in Italy, where you will have to invent a new gelato flavour that represents your city and if you are the champion, you will win a state-of-the-art eco-friendly Gelato machine!

It is a great opportunity to be able to participate in a project that represents the possibility of using an important and fun product such as gelato, to bring about concrete changes in the short, medium and long term, establishing economically sustainability. Can't wait to start working on it and see the results!
